Thank's George
It is an honor to be part of this outrageously talented group of people.Hopefully I can learn enough, to be talented enough, to be worthy!
No I don't think that was overboard, like I said in previous post this is my first (anywhere near scale) build. And I know I am no where near the talent of most of you guy's. Maybe someday, with practice.

Guys & Gals, I need some help with my Hangar 9 Corsair "add ons". I picked up some scale drop tanks, bombs & missles from Park Flyer Plastics, problem is Ican't figure out how to make the appropriate racks to attach the jewellery to the wing & to make them removable.... Iremember seeing a plasric strip-slider thingy where there were two pieces of plastic, one slid in a track inside the other and there was a clip at the end to hold the inner one in the groove. The only thing I can think of are the plastic strips for attaching saddle bags to the side of motorcycles or bicycles...

Ithink that idea would make a perfect holder for all of the different configurations, any ideas would be appreciated. The attached photo shows the primary configuration I am planning, Ialso may have 2 drop tanks or two bombs.

Whether I plan to fly her with all the jewellery is another discussion.

Guys & Gals, I need some help with my Hangar 9 Corsair ''add ons''.
Since this thread pertains to the TopFlite 1/5 scale Corsair which is not only a different manufacturer but quite a bit larger than your H9 model, you may not find what you're looking for here. There are several threads on the 60 Corsairs from both H9 as well as the TopFlite 60 size Corsair.

Haven't really dug into the little TopFlite, but I followed this H9 60 size Corsair thread to some extent and it's pretty big at about 92 pages;

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11..._1/key_/tm.htm

It may have something you're interested in, but the thread/s on the little TopFlite may be a better place to look since it's a kit and would most likely have guys adding more scale details. Maybe one of the other guys here can give you a link to the 60 size thread/s, I know some of 'em have Corsairs in multiple sizes and I belive NCIS (Barry) who participates in this thread, has one of the 60 size TopFlites which is pretty well decked out....

I finally got my main spar reinforcement done lasts night. The only casualty was I superglued one of my LG door hinges and now I have some small repairs to make[:@]. I used the copper clad PC board I make the tailwheels from, only I sanded most of the copper off the glue side, and then dimpled it with a drill so the epoxy would take well. I think with the cutout for the strut, some kind of reinforcement is necessary, and this method probably adds less than an ounce. I would not have known about this if not for Kelly and Gary. Thanks guys!
I'm getting some stick time in on my 30% yak, so hopefully I'll be tuned up for a maiden in June!
Sam
PS: Acerc, PM me re the tailwheel assy.

Okay I've been working oninstalling these RDS components. Have the aileron's done, I don't like the spacing where the plan's show for the flap servo, mostly because the servo need's to be angled about30 degs to the trailing edge.Thinking of putting it in the outside flap location instead.
Question, does it make any difference in regard's to airflow whichflapis powered ?

Thought I'd add photo's. First pic is aileron, second is plan's location for flap servo and third is outside flap location.Note the angle in the third photo

Ace,

You can drive the flaps from anyone. Driving the outside flap should work fine. IMO

just a thought if you drive the outboard flap make sure you heve good solid pwr transfer to the in board flsp as it see's the most pressure.

Your build is looking good

Acerc

To be honest no, Have neve worked with the RDC units and its been about 5 years sence I did my flaps, but there a coupla of threads to look at for good info one is hear in the w/b forum 1/8 t/f corsair mods by Corsairjock the outher is in the rc-scale forum 1/6 corsair build don't remember who started but they have great info.

As I remember the biggest thing was getting the hinge point's so the flaps deploy right, and how you do the line along the top of the wing.

Hope this helps
