Default Great Planes Spitfire kit

Has anyone built this kit and what modifications did you do to it or would do to it? Also, does anyone have a set of useable plans for the Spit they would like to sell? Thanks for you help.

Default RE: Great Planes Spitfire kit

My son and I have each built one of them. Keep in mind they are no where near close to a scale plane as far as competion goes, but they do build with the proven Great Planes methods and do make for great flying planes. We installed mech retracts on one of them and Spring Air retracts on the other. As I stated they fly well and make for good looking planes in the air. Good Luck, Dave
