I can't recall if I posted this earlier? but a buddy of mine has a poulan 46 shoehorned in his. Handles the weight and power perfectly... But he has been having some problems with the homemade carb adapter..needs to get that sorted out.

Probably going to go with gas, to save on fuel costs, and since the 4 stroke gas burners are so expensive, I am now considering a MLD 28s, we will see, think I will wait a week and a half and see what they have at the AMA show on the 9th

Didnt want to glue in the cover over the landing gear like the instructions suggest, so I inserted 2 pieces of hardwood dowl, then drilled holes through them into the landing gear, then tapped them with 4-40 tap, now my cover is removable. inserted the dowls from the back side without having to remove any covering, came out real clean.

Since the kit has been discontinued you will need to find someone that has one they are willing to part with it or find a hobby shop that has one collecting dust on the shelf. I bought an extra when the kit was going NLA so I have a spare in case of the unthinkable happening.

Happy new year

I considered the Evo 26GT as well for mine but the price is a bit high as the Roto25. I wonder if the DLE30 fits under cowl completely?

Hay Guys,
Troy Built Models has great prices on 26 size gas engines. One is priced at $209.00 with the mounts, muffler and all electronics. I ordered the rear carb engine myself, and it is backed up for two years too.

What prop you running, I started mine up today for the first time with the 18X10, it sure idles down low, and has alot of power, took me forever to get it primed though, finally did the same thing I have done with other gassers, put my hand retract pump on the vent tube and pumped the fuel to the carb for the first start, after that no problems.

#9 this is all I had to cut out of the cowl, but I am planning on either having the muffler pipe re-welded or using some flex tube to get the pipe to exit out the rear.

There is a piece of hardwood inside on each side running from the firewall to just under the aileron servo wire holes, you can see the front of them at the firewall and you can get a good idea of the location of the aft end by looking inside and seeing how far it is from the aileron exit hole, now run a piece of masking tape roughly centered from the firewall to just beneath and behind the aileron exit holes, now looking at the location a the firewall mark the center of both pieces, then at the rear measure inside how far it is from the edge of the aileron exit hole to the center of the hardwood mounting rail. now transfer that mark onto the masking tape. once you have these 4 marks (2 on each side) draw a straight line from front to back on each side, once you have your struts and cabanes mounted to the top wing, set the wing on top, bolt down the stuts to the lower wing, now pull the cabanes to the line you drew and mark or drill your holes, personally I didnt use the wood screws, I used the blindnuts they give you for the carrying handle and bought 4 4-40x3/4' hex bolts

hope that helps

Doug

looks good...

I am a bit bummed...

Guy was selling his MOKI 50VT gas 4-stroke for 700$-then down to 600$..or trade....
spent too much time finding out what he wanted for a trade, and it was gone....

I just had a problem with the guy claiming the engine was NIB, when he had ran it and had video of
it running on Youtb...????

The engine weighs 3.6 lbs all up and that would have been great for this plane....

I have a hard time wanting to pay 1200$ for a 50cc 4-stroke single...gas...

I have ALWAYS wanted a Saito 200Ti for this plane......
Now that I am no longer UNemployed, I may spring and get it.....

OS has there 4-cyl inline and wat priced at 1800$ close out on TOwers plus 100$ rebate
plus 60$ off club deal and free shipping.....Not all bad....IMHO.....

IT may be too heavy for this plane anyway....

I am sure I have talked about this already, but THese are the things I have been thinking about....

I know this is rattling on, but not too much action going on in most forums anyway....
