Dynaflite PT 19
I have a dynaflite kit built PT 19 that I purchased about a year ago. It's in need of a new cowl, but I'm a little confused on it's actual size. The wingspan is 89 inches on it. Would it be considered 1/5 scale? The only cowls for Dynaflite PT 19's that I've found are for 1/5 scale, and I'm pretty sure that is the size of this one, but I want to make sure before I order one.
Thanks

RE: Dynaflite PT 19
Your Dynaflite PT-19 is considered 1/5th scale. I can make you a fiberglass cowling for it. Check www.spychallaaircraft.com and you will see a picture.
I would recommend that you change the wingtip shape on your kit to improve the tip stall characteristics of that airplane. The real PT-19 did not have a wing tip shape as on that kit. If you make a carved balsa wingtip that is more scale it will fly much better and it won't snap out of high positive "G" maneuvers.
