Default Help me select gear for my H9 Mustang

Hi, I have a H9 mustang which is nearing completion. I got the Keleo exhuast for the Saito 100. The plane is nearly complete. I'm working on costom markings and a few other things. I also learned I should get an on board glow driver. I am well aware that I need to replace the gear. My question though...is who's do I choose? I read the long thread about the Miss America...many guys used the Spring/Air's but said the directions were hard to understand. I've also thought about the Robart ones using a combination of: #551RS Oleo’s #662 and a Delux Air kit. But tonight I found out that Century Jets also offers a package deal for the H9 Mustang. I would like to nuematic...rather than mechanical...so no votes for Franks's set. Thanks for your imput. I am looking to buy this in the next couple days.

Hi

At first place I´m fan of spring air design. You don´t need so big air tank in plane and you will always get you gear don thanks to the spring.
On the other hand designs air up, air down have some advantages like more scale speed.

CJ - go trough some forums and you find lots of feedback about their products and customer services...

Check out my website to see which retracts I'm using on mine. The plane has over 200 flights on it and no retract problems.

Yep, I am using Robart #551RS with #662L and #662R RoboStruts, along with Robart small air tank and CJ 4-way variable air control valve. I did not get the Deluxe air kit.

There is nothing wrong with the Robart air kit. I just decided to use the stuff I had lying around.

Hey one other thing. I'm guessing the Air kit includes an adaptor to hook up with a foot pump or compressor to fill the air tank? Or do I need to call Horizon again and order that hand pump I saw? Thanks!

Yes, the air kit should come with a Shrader filler valve. You can either use a standard bicycle pump capable of delivering 100 psi of air or the Robart hand pump.
