I just finished repainting it. Turned out pretty good. I'm quite happy with it. The tiger can be improved slightly, but they never really look good, or right, on the full size either.
Still equiped with a home made CNC-milled prop. It's been maybe six to eight years since this bird flew. The other change since last time is slightly bigger wheels. 5" wheels now instead of the 4,5" it had before. The full size had 30" wheels, so 5" is right for a 6th scale.
I will re-maiden it soon as I'm back in the hobby now. It needs a receiver, ESC and BEC first. I maidened an extensively modified ESM Tigercat on sunday: https://youtu.be/NJOjgiWVckA

I added some basic stuff to liven up the bottom of the wing. Not for close scrutiny, but to look good in the air. There are nav lights (not functional) on the top of the wing as well.

I had to do a couple more things. I added an antenna using a spring and some steel rudder wire, and made a carbon fiber pitot tube. The pitot tube is removeable to reduce the chance of hangar rash and transportation damage. I used a drill chuck to squeeze a brass tube in three spots until the carbon fiber pitot tube was a nice fit, and glued the brass tube into the wing with CA.

I decided to replace my old Robart 615 retracts with some electric ones. I chose E-flite 520 units, which are 95° retracts. They work well, but being electric I have to let them go the full cycle, so the legs are pointing slightly more forward than before. I managed to shim them a little after taking the photo below though, so they aren't that bad now. Look forward to trying them in the air. The 615 retracts were unable to fully extend the gear unless I had full flaps and was going slow. The new ones are much stronger.

I flew the plane once today. The new retracts are so far great. I like that I can lower and retract them as oftern as I want. They have a dedicated BEC.

I bought mine through this Ebay listing. It was cheaper than any online stores I could find for me with shipping to Norway:
