SNV-1 (BT-13)
Here is a fe pictures of my latest Warbird Trainer. I know most here have Fighters but they had to start with PT's, BT's and AT's before the P's and F's.
This SNV-1 was modeled after one in Minn.. I have seen it at Oshkosh for a few years, so painted it like it. www.bt-13.org
It is an old Bert Baker kit whick called for a .60 engine.. It weights 23# now and has a G-62 Zenoah. 90" wing Robart gear, Futaba Radio, 10 servos.
Thanks,
Jim

RE: SNV-1 (BT-13)
Flew the SNV-1 today twice.. Take off was OK just a little right aileron to make it fly straight. Flew like a heavy bird, nice and solid.. First landing I got too slow and it stalled low to the ground.(Picture inclosed) Notice the up elevator and the right aileron.
Seconf flight much better,, Better takeoff and landing.

But why did they call it the Vultee Vibrator? And yes that's what they called it.

It's good to see a BT-13, and yours is a great model. My father owned and operated one in the late 40's to early 50's. His big regret later in life was selling his BT-13 and P-38.

For those who might be interested, I will be posting an ad in a couple of days here on RCU for my Bert Baker BT-13 / SNV glass and foam kit. It's a factory pre-fabricated and very complete kit with all the hardware (including new Robart custom order legs) and pre-sheeted foam wings and tail surfaces. Pre-cut balsa and plywood is included and the fuselage formers are factory installed. Also includes an aluminum spinner and a dummy resin engine. Lot's of scale details in the kit and on the plans.
This may well be the last Baker BT-13 kit available.
