RE: Vq models question
It flies excellent and looks great in the sky also. Only thing about it that I had to get used to was landing just a little bit fast. You can't slow this plane down too much or it will dip a wing pretty suddenly. I did this on the first landing but only real damage was to the wingtip which I was able to repair fairly easy. The plane is built extremely well. Unless you pile drive it in the ground its always going to be fixable. I don't have any trouble flying the plane now that I know how to land it. Quite honestly I can make this plane go where I want it to easier then the rest of the planes I own. You will not be disappointed if you buy this model. Instructions left a little to be desired in my opinion but it hardly slowed me down and I finished the plane in just 3 evenings time. I have a Saito 72 for power and with this engine the plane balanced at the reccomended CG without weights. I used a 12 oz tank in the plane rather then the 9 oz it came with and it wasn't hard to make it fit. Overall, its a great plane. I might buy the green one also. Good luck

RE: Vq models question
Patiently waiting delivery of the 109. shhhhhhhhh.... she doesn't know yet........
Two questions while I wait by the front door.
Anyone know if adding flaps are a possibility on the emil?
Pictures seem to show full length ailerons.
&
What is everyone running for props on a 46 size 2c.
I'm thinking gruapner, 10x6 3bld, just "cause I have one laying around, somewhere I think....
Planning on inverted eng w/ pits style muffler.

RE: Vq models question
I am also interested in possibly adding flaps to the Me109. I have had mine delivered and it has strip ailerons - still a nice looking plane though! The new "summer colour" scheme Me109 (below) has scale ailerons.. looks much better - like the Kyosho kit. Check it out...
I have a Saito 80 and mechanical retracts set aside for mine. This is going to be my first warbird! Won't start the build for a while though... I have a 1/4 scale cub and a Hawk sea plane to set up first!

I am a civilian plane fanatic and have been looking at the VQ Piper Tri-pacer. My complaint is VQ doesn't show us the manual and few angles in pictures of their product, I guess I will wait until someone is flying one on you tube or something where I can see more angles of this model. I think if these model companies would include more information about the models it would be easier for us to access if that particular model is suited for what we want. Things like cowl inside diameter width and length that would help us decide if we get it, what engine would we want for it, Also I think all manufacturers should let us see the manuals online. I really think if I owned a RC airplane producing company, the first thing I'd do is have one built and flown on YOUTUBE so everyone could see what quality my plane is. Having the knowledgeable pilot highlight the structure of the model and giving an honest assessment. What better advertisement could there be? I am not degrading this company or in any way belittling them or their product, I am just saying I won't buy an RC airplane with to little information online. Because there are a few good reviews on some planes doesn't mean all the plane that particular company makes are good or convincingly scale looking.
