Default Vq models question

I was going to order a vq models warbird but they are out of stock on the ones I want. I was looking at rcwarbirds and they have them all in stockeven cheaper, but sanz the retracts and struts. Are the ones at rcwarbirds really vq models? I was going to order the Bf 109 from rcwarbirds but at the vq models site it says they are due out oct nov. Do any of you have experience ordering from rcwarbirds? Sorry to keep bugging you guys with all my posts and thanks to all of you who have responded.

Bill

Never heard of them. Can't find out from the web site where they are located either. If I can't tell where they are, I would be a little afraid to order from them until they have a track record.

Interesting web site... Some of those planes look like VQs, some look like CMPs, and some look like the CMP clones.

The VQ ME-109 looks pretty cool though...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the VQ planes made in Viet Nam? How come they can get them to Singapore, but not yet to the U.S.A. ?

Kinda wantin one of those AVG color P-40s too...

Yeah... we are wanting them bad ...just as much as our customers!!! I cant wait to get one!!!! The reasons are many why other countries sometimes get products first.... It is actually kind of similar as to why in the UK/or other parts of the world saw the 1.50 size P-47s from Horizon First before the US..... Just happens sometimes...
WE rec'd the P-61 Black Widows and P-38s 1st when they were introduced.... give and take I guess .....

One of the main differences in our US Available VQ WARBIRDS is that is our U.S. Production VQ Models come with retracts preinstalled on our .40/.60 size planes.... except P-40.... and ours also include spinners, and Our mechanical retracts also include working oleo struts on all current models....

On the P-61 and P-38 the differences in terms of "more Completeness" grows even more... We get lots of requests to ship our "US" versions overseas a lot!!!!

Hang in there guys and gals.... IT will be worth the wait!!!! It will be a fun filled fall with the Intro of the VQ ME-109 , Tuskegee P-51B , Pilatus Porter , re-issue of the WHITE P-38 Lightning and the return of the AVG "FLYING TIGER" P-40!!!!
and there are lots more "INTERESTING" Models in the works for next summer.......

CHeers!

If you look at the rc-warbirds site you can select US dollars, Can Dollars and EURO's... US Dollar price is $141.90, I didn't check shipping charges or method of shipping. In the Discription of the 109 it says VQ 109.... It is in fact a VQ model, (right Tomas?). If you check, it would be cheaper to buy from VQWarbirds here in the US, if you include shipping and you WILL get service, may not happen with off shore dealer......Cliff

Correct! IT appears to be a VQ ME-109...shipping to the US GETS IT TO the US WITHOUT retracts , without spinner without ... and for about the same price....but without....... retracts etc...
and it is overseas.... so pay more or same but to get less?????
or get more and pay the same???

I could pay the same and get less, but it would be here 2 moths sooner. Just wondering when vq or you will be getting restocked on these? I think i'll have to just wait to buy a vq model, by then i'll probably order two or three different ones, LOL love the look of the mig 3 and 109.

Bill, I recently ordered a plane from New Zealand, (not available here) and the shipping was $65.00.......Luckily it was double boxed, as the outside box had quite a few scars on it. When I recieved my VQ T-6 from Texas everything inside was taped in place and foam wraped and there was NO damage anywhere. I have to talk to Santa, but I hope he brings me a VQ 109, I'll try to behave "till then.........Cliff

some of the VQ modles on rcwarbirds are the old versions ,
1)bad washout in the original design of the P40
2)mechanical rotators were pulled out of the P40 because of the ball link problems
3)by from VQ in US and you get the NEW UPDATED versions , not old stock . Trust me I was buying VQ when they were not popular

Quick question for you Tomas:

I have been drooling over the VQ P-51D now for several days and was wondering what material the nose cone/spinner is made from? Also, from the pictures I have viewed it appears that the cowl and other pieces such as the radiator scoop are unpainted? BTW, the offerings at VQ seem to be the BEST looking kits that I have manged to find thus far, I hope they look as good sitting in front of me (after I buy one-SOON) as they do on your site.If they fly as well as they look, I will be one happy boy!

I can tell you that I have 2 of the P-51B's and they do fly great. Not a single problem with them. I have ST45's in both inverted with a pitts muffler coming out the side of the cowl and it sounds and runs great. I've seen posts that they fly hard and land harder.... I've not had any of those issues, I fly off a grass field and both planes track good and ar in the air shortly. I had a few engine issues at first and landed dead stick a couple times. Once from about 30 feet in the air and was coming over the field, just pulled up the gear and slid on the belly. The only thing I did was take the belly scope and cover it with glass to make it stronger. And with all my planes that have mechanical retracts I run a separate battery pack just for them so if they bind it won't drain my receiver battery. I'm sure if you get one you'll enjoy it. They do look great in person. And as far as size, it's almost an exact copy of my TopFlite (red box) P-51 D I still have from the 80's.

catbutt,

YES SIR... The fiberglass cowling and parts are all painted ....The photos on the website are from the factory..sorry they are not exact..but just showing the parts layout..we plan on updating the photos... THE picture attached is what it will look like once assembled out of the box with offset oleo struts!(attached pics of the P-51B and Macchi to show details included such as wing fillets, landing lights molded into wing tips, drop tanks, pilot and cockpit tub, and oleos...)

F-15FLAMEOUT,
