Default British mustang

I am getting ready to fiberglass a top flite p51 and I'm debating on what paint scheme I want to go with. I like the idea of the british camo scheme but the shark mouth looks like it would be very hard to do. Does anyone know if the british had any camo mustangs without the sharks mouth? I would really apreciate it is someone had some pictures of one.

You could probably find a decale or outline of the sharks mouth on the internet. I hand painted the jaws on my p-40 and it was fairly easy you just need a lot of time and patience. Good Luck.

I like this one. Airliners.net has more photos of this Mustang and there are many other references available.

There are lots of Mustangs without the Sharkmouth. The sharkmouth isn't that hard to do . It does take an hour or two to make the masks but it is worth it. I should talk you out of it though as I want to have the only one. Only kidding. If you want some help doing it let me know. Otherwis here are some links to cool raf p-51 MK IV's.
Here is my 112 inch Mustang that I have just finished, This picture is a week or so old and I have started weathering it now. The first flight will be next Thursday.

And here is my secret stash, this will be a superb plane and I was thinking of using it on my next 1/4 mustang which is waiting to be built. If you want to compete you will have to authenticate the markings, which I doubt will be possible because as far as I know, 315 Polish Squadron who use the PK squadron codes used P-51 III until the end of the war, but it looks good. You never know though. The RAAF and Canada used them too. As the P-51k or MKIV.

Perfect I think I will go for the third one from the top (MMT). I should be able to shoot the camo and then just use the decal sheet from the top flite spitfire, should work great. Thanks for the feedback, very helpful.

Well I maidened my british mustang today. My first flight ended with a wheels up dead stick into the dirt, no damage, and my second one was perfect all the way around. This is my second 60 sized top flite kit and they both flew absolutely great. I cant say enough how happy I am with how my mustang flies.

LOL @ check6

Think G-AM is based near here at Caboolture airfied. Was supposed to go for a joyride in that bird a couple of years back but had to cash the ticket in.
