RE: Platt Jungmeister
Thanks very much all,
Its just a quick sport model. The base white should have a bit of gray and the green "splash" should be boarder in white. If I don't add any more planes to my list and this one flies well than maybe I will build a Wendell Hostetler Jungmeister with a Saito radial in it. Wind for Sat is listed as 10-15. Not sure it will be good for a maiden. Of course Monday is listed as 5-10 and I would not think twice about flying. Work buys the toys but sure gets in the way of flying sometimes[]
I will get an ariel shot when it flys.
Carl
Rich, I lost the Claude after take off. I think I added to much weight in the tail after a repair. I did not want to spend any more time on it RIP. I will start another 1/5 Wildcat with glass fuse then the motor, etc from the Claude will go into a 1/4 Bates PT-22 Ryan with Sierra Precision gear. That should keep me busy for a while. Then I will take some time and try to do a nice 1/5 Macchi C200 and 1/5 Brewster Buffalo. Then scratch a 1/5 Oscar if I can

RE: Platt Jungmeister
Sorry to hear about the claude, it was a fine looking bird. You are going to be bussy for quite a while.
I am almost done with my 1/5 mustang that I have been working of and on for about 15 years. It is set up for a Q50 that I have in another plane. so I won't fly it for quite a while.
I ordered a set of plans for a mitisubishi K1-15-1 BABS. I am still looking for a set of plans for a Ninajima B5N kate or B6n Jill. Hope it warms up. Rich

RE: Platt Jungmeister
Well it was just a bit to windy for a maiden and triming today. The OS108 runs like a champ though. Here are some better field pics.

RE: Platt Jungmeister
The wind finally relaxed a bit so I decided to get the Jungie up. I had to trim it a bit but what a sweet heart!! I thought I had to much motor, it flys great at 40% throttle. Rolls are slow almost scale like and it has great rudder authority. Seems like it takes 10 min to stall. I got two flights on it. A relaxing maiden.

RE: Platt Jungmeister
Thanks very much all,
I think its such a great flyer that it should be added to the squadron! I am talking to Hank Likes about oleo gear for the Hostetler 77" Jungmeister. I was planning to put my Saito 325 in an enlarged Macchi C200 but PCK has the Jungie balsa currently so I may have to rearrange my build list once again. Maybe I should just think about the current Wildcat build I'm waiting for Jerry Bates to get a glass fuse for the PT-22 but PCK is doing this also, maybe even a wing kit. Dang just to many planes I want to build.

RE: Platt Jungmeister
Carl We had the coldest winter we have had for several years. But it has been nice for about a month. This is our windy season now. It is supposed to get back into the 70s this week.
I finally finished my P51 that I have been working for about 15 years. I didn't cut out the cowl for the motor.and it still needs radio equiptment. I have been flying my ME109 79 in ARF. It is a good flyer. Just don't like cross wind takeoff and landings.
I have been working on a set of plans for a Aishi Val will be about 87 in ws. I ordered a set of smaller plans for the B6n2. If they are pretty close to scale I will blow them up to 85 in or so. This will give me something to do next winter. I have just about run out of room , but I love to build. Have a good one Rich

RE: Platt Jungmeister
The weather has cleared and its two good days of flying near Wash DC. I put several flights on the Jungie and got a buddy to fly it so I could get some pics. Its really a gentle aerobat and I have way more power than needed. It will almost hover. I don't go over 1/2 throtte unless going vertical.

RE: Platt Jungmeister
I might have to go over to PGRC as we are changing our field size and direction. It will be much larger but we currenlty have lost a bit from the overlap.
