Hi Timothy,
I'm so sorry for your loss of your father last year, and the last thing your mum would want is to go through all those memories.
With respect ,Graham Buchanan.

Hi All,
Just a quick update on the Corsair,I have not had much time on her as I'm doing Ali's 190,but I have managed to seak some time, and have added the cowl flaps ,these were made out of aluminium and about 200 nut's & bolt's,they took a bit of time, but have came out rather good.
Cheers Graham.

I was just reading through one of the other Corsair builds and it said the Timothy Thomson has passed away, this was a shock to read as I was about to update the build thread on the XXL, and as you can see Tim was the last one to respond on the build.
My thoughts go out to his family at this sad time along with my respect.

I'm real interested in building a Ziroli -5 Corsair.
One thing I noticed...I thought the "cheeks" were molded into the fuselage back over the wing as opposed to the more or less box as you show on the cowl detail above. Kinda blends in right behind the cowl on the pics rather than extends way back.

Hi All,
Bentwings yes I do love the mark 5 and yes you are right on the Cowl detail, Considering this is meant to be an ARTF ,the mods I have done have transformed this Corsair, Yes I would have liked to have extended cowl into the fuselage and also widened the front of the fuselage to make it fatter but you can guess this would be allot of work to do on the airframe.
I'm happy in what I have done and she looks good to me.
Hi Evil_Merlin, Glad you like, and yes she is starting to look nice and mean.
Hi Barry, your Corsair is looking so good and you have spured me on to get my Corsa finished, your one will also look the bizz when you get her up on her wheels.
Here are some more pics of the corsair, been working on all the hatches, antaena's, scae fule filler which I love, this was made from an old Mag light torch!!!!
And I have finally got round to making the Oil Coolers in the wings, as there was nothing on the wings just a bit of vac fomed plastic which was $$$$.
I will also post up more pics tonight on the Paint masks, these are looking great as MR Jolly has worked his magic once again
Nigel has spent many a long hour researching for Anni Mo and has came up with the goods!!!!! his work is the best, and his attention to detail is second to none, A very big thank you Nigel.

I don't know about "fun" but insignia I find tends to give the biggest step forward bringing it to life as it were.
Graham, as you know I have been looking out for info on Guys aircraft. It is difficult to find quality information that can be verified, but I think we are almost there. Some people may be looking at the marks thinking there is an error with the blue and white stripe in the stars & bars. Well I found an original picture of the aircraft that has not been listed before on this thread and it clearly shows the colour separation.
The standard white text of the aircraft was "toned down" with a wash of pale blue to make the markings less visible at night. It looks like there was a strip of white close to the red bar that was deliberately masked off to retain some of the original colour.
The nose art of Anne-Mo is finished, but the biggest challenge was the little "Team Dog" motif just forward of the cockpit. Very little to go on except a very grainy picture. I welcome any help form the USA if anybody has a good sharp reproduction or indeed original picture of the badge! Pictures . . . .

Hi Nigel,
You have done a fantastic job on the" Annie Mo" and "Team dog" badge, can't wait to get her painted now!!!!! and then I can start dirtying her up.
Thanks Nigel for the Star and Bar template, I have now got the hand hold's in the right position.
Hi Greg ,here some closer pics of the fuel filler you wanted.
Got some more detailing done tonight, demister pipes around the front shield, and Arial exit,so the fuselage is now ready for some Paint!!!!

Graham,
Your ship is looking great!!! Just curious how high did you raise the rear bulkhead of the cockpit for the as I call it "hump"? Neat idea for the fuel filler. Is that metal or plastic? I was thinking of using a coke bottle cap and adding on the part on top.
Barry

Hi Barry,Dave.
Well Nigel kept his promise and the big box of Paint Mask's turned up first thing yesterday morning!!!! It's Christmas!!!!
I also managed to get the right tone of sea blue mixed,a bit of this and a bit of that and hey presto.
So here are the pics from Friday,Saturday.
Barry I used the same ali as I did for the canopy, I just made up a paper template for the right shape and then epoxyed to the fuse.
the Fuel filler was made from a cheap torch,I just cut the bottom of the torch, so you are left with the cap and part of the torch casing.
Dave congrats on the maiden of your B25,Pics please
Cheers Graham.

Hi Dave, Jason,
Glad you all like her,she has taken a while to do,nearly 2 years off and on but she will be worth the wait!!!!I would like to get her on her feet for Phil's Bash,we will see, there is just so much of her!!!!and then there is that Surf Board of a wing!!!!
Yep, Nigel has came up trumps with all the markings and I can't wait until he puts on Miss Annie Mo on the cowl.
Cheers Graham
