This method is better if you don't use Herex .The wing is very strong and at the same time strong.

Cool build fokke been watching for a while.
Thanks for the full scale pics. I love that the plane is in silver, it shows all the surface detail better than camo.
They will help me a lot in my emil build.

Here is a pic of mine that was taken last week. Been working on it more off than on for almost 3 years. The wingspan is 3.3 meters. I have a thread here on rcu.

Just curious if you have given any thought about how you plan on doing the hinges on the flaps and aileron. It appears to me that the full scale plane has only 2 for each flying surface, from what i can tell with my information.

Keep posting the apdates of your plane and pictures or technical drawings of the full size 109. Many of the full size pictures and document information has helped me with my build.

Thanks for the help rumen. Is your facebook page in your native language? I might have a problem with the language barrier.
I really like the wing design it should be very light without the retract hardware included.
I was wondering, all the composite wings that i have seen were of standard wood interior. Is there a reason why a foam core interior would not be a better choice?

Hi Mike, sory for my lateness with the answer.
My facebook page is on English ,I don'e see problems there .....
The total weight of one half wing is 650gr.-700
I thing that wihf foam and fiber glass is a good solution , will be very strong but the weight will be to much.I think that my decision in my case i better cose the weight is good and the strength is big .

Rumen i found some information about a ME-109 pilot from your neighbor country of romania that i thought was interesting.
The story was about romanian pilot Alexandru "Alecu" Şerbănescu.

Thanks for the nice story !
We have Bulgarian heros to , here is one of the best of them - Dimitar Spisarevski

On 20 December 1943, a group of 200 American B-24 Liberator bombers and fighter planes headed to Sofia in order to bomb the Bulgarian capital once again. 36 Bulgarian airplanes took off in order to intercept the bombers before they reached Sofia. Spisarevski was one of the Bulgarian Air Force's Messerschmitt Ме-109G-2 pilots on duty in Bozhurishte who were sent to intercept the bombers before they could reach the city.
According to the battle log of the 3/6 fighter wing, of which Spisarevski was part, the battle went the following way: the American B-24 aircraft flew towards Sofia in V-shaped formations of three, echeloned in a long rear column. The Bulgarians formed an opposing battle row, echeloned in squadrons of four in a rear column, at 6,000 m. The wing had the task to engage the enemy P-38 Lightning fighters while at the same time the other wing, 2/6, would hit the bombers and force them to release their bombs outside the city.
Flying Officer Spisarevski's aircraft failed to start and he took off in a reserve plane with some delay in what would be his first and only aerial battle. When he reached the bombers, the battle had already begun. Spisarevski evaded two American fighters, headed to a group of 16 Liberators and, without ceasing fire, crashed into the leading bomber. The bomber split in mid-air and only the tail gunner survived. Spisarevski's machine crashed at the heights near the village of Pasarel close to Sofia. His body was found among the debris. The hit American bomber crashed on the other side of the village. For the taking down of a four-engine bomber, he was credited posthumously with three aerial victories and promoted to the rank of Captain. Spisarevski was buried in the Central Sofia Cemetery, in the Walk of Pilots.

During war, desperate circumstances provoke desperate actions. It does not mater which side you fight for you are fighting for your country.

Hi guys , after several attempts and variants, finally stopped the final construction of the wings. I made a box-longherone for more strength, 9 ribs are 4mm.balsa and all this long legs of each rib are now shorter.
I hope that this longherone is enough .......

Ahhh yes, but the difference is... you create, I just assemble lol..great work, I love the detail you were able to get into your parts. It's all quite crisp and clean.

The wing is looking great rumen. This thing is going to be impressive with some paint on it.
You probably have seen this site, but i thought i would pass it on to you if you have not seen it. It has a wealth of pictures, many i had not seen before.
It is in russian but there is a translate button so you can translate into other languages.
This link is for the 109E discussion, there are many other discussions on the main page.
