yes he is the most amazing fighter pilot of WWII. Eric Hartman (352 aerial victories all on the Eastern Front) said Marseille was the better fighter pilot. He thought outside the box not using the classic attack from behind but from every direction constantly changing throttle, using flaps, etc. shooting from the engine to the cockpit or cockpit to engine. His wingman said he was hard to stay with in the air, On one mission he shot down 5 Brittish P-40's fireing only 80 rounds. Lucky for the Allies he died in an accident (Bf109F early version) oil leak caused him to panic and bail out hitting his head on the horizontal stab and fell unconscious to the ground. And yes, not a member of the Nazi party as just about all Luftwaffe pilots. YELLOW 14

will those wheels be able to stand up takeoff and landing loads?

Could you print a set to the diameter that I need?

The time has come to present my work on the drawings of E4 in 1/5 and 1/4 scale model which will be based on a current compounding, but will be of wood and set in 1/5 scale will be able to use composite details until now existing model to cover the skeleton can be done with composite parts taken out of existing molds, but lighter and thinner composite.

Here are some of the plans who I use

Could you have one printed at a certain diameter that way I can use it as pattern to make a silicone and use that to make a wax version? That would allow me to use casting sand then cast an aluminum wheel and finish machine it.

What about a tire? Could you draw a scale tire then print it out. I would love to try to make the proper tire, but my CAD skills are non-existent.

OK guys , after 2 months I finish with the 1/5 scale wood model BF 109 E4 , who will use some composite details from the all composite kit. This parts are , the composite rudder, wing gun hoods, canopy frame, cowl, supercharger input, spinner, wing oil radiators, and several other composite details.
Have the second variant of set , the wood model with composite skin from the fuselage and wing molds ( that was my first idea ) , this variant will be faster for building , without any balsa n the structure!

The main problem with the 109 is engine cooling. If you manage the enclose the engine, you have to cut non-scale holes to get cool air over the cylinder. I am still looking for a watercooled 50-60cc engine that has some actual test data on. I have not heard great things about the MVVS water cooled 58, and it is really tall making it hard to conceal.

A water cooled cylinder for the the DA 50, DLE 55 or a G-62 would be great.

Hi Jeff,

I am working with a couple of modelers in regards to 3d printed hubs. My first set is for a customer building a Ziroli Skyraider and uses a 3d printed hub in conjunction with a Dubro tire. We have done some testing and it appears as though the printed wheel is every bit as strong as the original Dubro injection molded item. Next up will be a scale wheel for giant scale Corsairs / Hellcats and real world testing on the 40lb Skyraider will begin very soon. Have a look at this thread if you're interested in more info: http://www.rcscalebuilder.com/forum/...7&PN=1&TPN=130

I have made cast tires before for my 1/4 dirt bike project. If someone will make the 1/4 scale diamond pattern Goodyear tire for the CARF Corsair I can make the silicon mold and cast urethane tires. I'm also interested in the diamond pattern 1/4 scale tire for the CARF P-51. In both cases I'm using the Sierra retracts and wheels.
I will dig up some photos of my SLA tire, wheel and molds. Comes out really well and very durable!
