CMP Zero retracts upgrade from CJM
I just got the upgraded set of retracts from Century Jet for my CMP/GSP zero. These are way more beefy than the weak 7/16 inserts in the original design that bent/break easily on grass runway. They are now 1/2" steel rods, much tougher to bend. Call them if you guys want to upgrade those long Zero landing gears that bend all the time. By the way, I modified my bird by adding flaps and now it slows down nicely for landing and not have any spin/snap tendency on stalling.

Is this the 80" zero? This is a model I am interested in, if so....
-what did the century gearset cost ya?
-what engine are you using?
-what is your all up weight?
thanks,
Chad

The upgrade I'm talking about is the gear for the 72" Zero. Charles at CJM told me that the new 80" Zero gears are the same upgrade, just longer for the bigger bird. Will try to post the pics when I find some time. Don't know the price for the bigger gears. They did the upgrade for my 72" Zero for free, since I've had to buy a bunch of replacement inserts from them the past 2 yrs, when I was using the original weaker gears.
