Im looking for a scale cockpit for my esm Bearcat but it aint easy to obtain. Seems like esm never made a cockpit for the bearcat. Do u guys know where i could get a cockpit that will fit. Maybe its possible to fit a cockpit from another esm kit aswell ??

I had thought of scratch building the visible parts of the cockpit for my Bearcat (headrest, roll bar, instrument panel).

If you come up with any good diagrams please let me know

I want a cockpit like that takes a lot of time and effort to built. Well i hoped to get a "arf" cockpit kit with out to much work. I send a mail to vqmodels and they said i maybe could fit the esm corsair cockpit to the bearcat. What do u think?

How about 3d printing one, with few good books and online pictures you could create one using just google Sketchup. Export the file as STL et voila!

Check into the website. They have all kinds of unpainted cockpits that you need to assemble and paint. But maybe this will get you what you want.

ive already explore that webpage, but thank you anyways. Iflytaillies can probably make a custom one that fit, but probably too expensive. i just bought the topflite corsair cockpit. Hopefully it will fit. If not i'll probably try this: http://www.vqwarbirds.com/product_in...8c81a8f013cbd0

This my second Bearcat the control horns they supply in the kit are a no no my first bearcat destroyed itself when the horns let go and it developed flutter because those horns have the triangular hole in them they fracture and break. Now the second Bearcats been built with carbon fibre horns and extra strengthening and fibreglass around the firewall etc and solid 4.40 wires through tubes for the elevators this plane is a joy to fly and has been clocked with a radar detector at 245 kph.... if anyone wants to look at our website it is : www.hbrf.org.nz and if you take a look over the next month or so you'll see all the pics of our warbirds rally..... plus one of the best aerobatic flyers in the world was there Namely Frazer Briggs and he broke a wing off his big extra 300 while giving a flying demonstration he did a complete circuit of the flying field in knife edge flight and got the plane back to the flying field with minimal damage just knocking one undercarriage leg off as he flicked it back onto its wheels...As good a bit of skilled flying as you could ever see this vid will come up on our website the date 25th Feb 2013.
But back to the Bearcat a lovely aeroplane to fly just come in reasonably fast and its just awesome had this one flying at shows for 4 years now
Cheers Mike

Better horns for the surfaces is a good idea, you don;t need to replace the servo horns. However you do need an extra-size servo horn for the twin pull-pull (rudder and tail wheel)

What you do need for this plane is sturdy landing gear, the ESM set won't last long.

Also you need to beef up the wing shear webs along the LG strut / wheel well. I have witnessed 6 ESM Bearcat wings fail at the exact same spot

They were made specifically for this model.
