Default Flite Metal and Rosie Riveter, ?? where to buy?

First what's rosie riveter?
I dont see a picture in the website, is it a glued strip or a method to make rivets?

I want to put flite metal on my Hangar 9 P51 on the parts that are meant to be aluminum, also wanted to put rivets.

But I dont know what to order

34.99 (Raised & Flush Rivet Kit:1 Oz. Poly Rivet w/Applicator Tip & 15 Rivet Strips)
RRB Qty $31.99 (Two-Tone Flush Rivet Kit w/Applicators & 15 Rivet Strips)
RRAB Qty $59.99 (15 Rivet Strips plus A & B rivet system components)
RRR Qty $22.99 (15 Refill Rivet Strips for RRA or RRB customers)
RRT Qty $9.99 (Two-Tone Color Flush Rivet & Applicator Refill for RRA & B customers)
RRP Qty $5.99 (1 Oz. Poly Rivet Refill w/Applicator Tip for RRA & B customers)

What do I need?

Also planned to order flite metal and the tools.

But since I live in Costa Rica and I want this shipped to Ohio , so I pick it up when I go in August, its complicated to order thru their website.

Is there another pace I can order online?

Hi there,
"Rosie the riveter" was originally a nickname for girls working at aircraft factories during WW2.
The product you mention is a tape used to apply rivets quick and presicse.

The tape is perforated, it has holes all along.
You lay down a strip of tape, and just place a blob of white glue in each hole. Don't touch it, just take off the tape as soon as the last blob is down.
That way you will leave a row of glue dots, all of the same size and spacing.
Rinse the tape with cold water, and you can use it over again, as long as the adhesive tape will stick.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
Is there another place to buy apart directly from the Scale Aereo website?

Sorry you are experiencing difficulty. What are you finding difficult? No one else is experiencing any issues related to order process or product descriptions. The product is not sold in the ScaleAero web site. It is sold at http://www.flitemetal.com There is a link in the ScaleAero site to both the Flite-Metal and Rosie Riveter product web sites. You must determine the amount of surface you want to apply FM and RR to then translate that into FM product packaging which begins with a .40~.50 size model through to a typical 1/5th scale warbird. If there are any questions we can be reached by clicking the email buttons located on both sites.

The two versions of the Rosie Riveter product are described within the web site. I believe you may have only clicked on the order form instead of reading product descriptions for RRA and RRB products. Product choice is relative to style of rivet desired (flush or raised) and the scale size of the rivet in either style.

Hope this helps you understand more about the product and communicating with us. Why does your address show San Jose, Alabama USA instead of Costa Rica? We received two completely different email addresses on the three order forms you submitted thus far. We've replied to both without receiving your reply back. How may we serve you? Please reply to http://[email protected]

Ed : I know whats the problem, all your e mails were landing in my spam folder so I never got to see them, and I though you were not replying to me. thats why all the confusion.

Let me explain my situation:
I live in San Jose Costa Rica, but will be going to my friend's house in Ohio from August 11th to 18th, so Im planning to get the flite metal shipped to Ohio then and bring it with me to Costa Rica, Im preparing my P51 for a Central American RC model airplane championship September 2nd..
Here no one knows about flite metal, so their jaws will drop.
The scheme I will make is the new Hangar 9 P 51, yellow nose, green wings and the rest aluminum, so its about 50% of the plane that will be covered in flite metal

Payment:
I do have an international credit card with the billing addresse being my friend's house in Ohio.

Or I can have a friend with Pay Pal do the payment for me.

I will prefer the first one. will Paypal take an international credit card?

Forget all my orders before, I will send a new one.now , I hope to hear from you soon, because timing is getting critical.

I just submitted my orders one for flite metal and tools and other for Rosie riveter.
So the next step is an e mail from Pay Pal asking for payment?

Please let me know.

Really appreciate all your patience and help.thanks agian and sorry for all the trouble.

Best Regards

Jose

Hello Nyplanes:

This question would probably be best asked using our email contact
button on the Flite-Metal or Rosie Riveter web site .

To answer your question. I originally had photographs on the web site
and amidst a quick rebuild of the site after a server crash I only have
images of the Rosie Riveter polymer bottle. I will place images of the
rivet strips, applied rivets, and painted over rivets back into the site.

After looking for a few minutes just now I didn't find the B rivet images
to go with the A series so I will have to make new ones.

Thanks for reminding me I'd not replaced the photos...

ITS NOT WHITE GLE ITS A RESIN TRUST ME I TRIED ELEMURS AND IT LOOKS GREAT AT FIRST BUT MUSHES DOWN. EDS COMPOUND DOESNT DO THAT AND IT EVEN TAKE THE HEAT OF A MONOKOTE GUN TO RESHINK AREAS! GREAT STUFF

what about a vynal rivit you stick on just befor you paint? would you buy that? whould anyone. look at the photo's and see what you think.. comes in silver. or maybe in chrome to. comes in single row or staggered double row. just peel the backing and stick. took like 5 minuted to do what you see. what would someone pay for enough to do all the rivits on a 1/5 plane?

In my opinion, (as a scale gunky ) its the perfect flat rivet, already spaced 4mm spacing and .3 mills thick. and the silver has a cool iridesence when the sun hits it, giving a really sweet effect and contrast apllied to flight metal.

77CH,

Those look great. Send me some single row for a 1/5 scale Stuka! Do they still well to painted surfaces? Very nice, I expect many would pay good money for these if they stick well.
