Glorystomper,
I tried to e-mail his earthlink account but it gets kicked back. If you know another way to get ahold of him pls do and ask him to get back with me. I have some questions for him.

Thanks

I can truly say that I just picked up on this project and have read every post as if it were a classic novel.
I've learned an incredible amount and have been truly inspired to the heights a modeler is willing to climb in achieving his vision.

Thank you Luke <S>.

Hey Glorystomper,

I'm having a problem trying to find the link to luke's website... I really need to check out his gear doors... I'm putting them on mine and he's the only guy to ask.

Could you post the link?

thanks

Hi everyone,

I just found this thread late yesterday and finished early this morning (2:30)... WHEW!

I wanted to thank everyone especially Luke for a very informative and fun thread. I learned a lot about my favorite war-bird and what it takes to make a true scale model.

The sad thing is I don't know if Luke is still on board or not and wasn't able to view his website. After reading through all the posts and reaching the end, I felt like I had climbed up a tall mountain only to trip and fall off a cliff!

I hope to read about your next project Luke... nudge-nudge

Thanks, Rod

Long gone, guys, long gone. Luke hasn't replied to this thread in over two months. His site has been down for nearly the same, give it up.

The worst part is having evil people benefit from my work, so I'm pulling my site off the net as soon as I can.
This is a direct quote from Luke in a private email to me. This was at least two months ago. Thank RCU for keeping the thread as a documentary. Maybe he'll be back one day, just don't count on it.

You would have had to have been on RCU for the past yr. to really soak it all in. Luke's skills and eye for detail are obvious. Luke would speak frankly and passionately about a plane or plans about 99% Corsair related. Some just couldn't stand the truth or his approach and kept nailing him as a "Bad Guy". This is just my impression of the threads I followed if I have perceived it wrong please correct me.

Frankly, it's a loss for everyone including Luke. This site should be about the planes and RC as well as friendship.

The sand box wasn't big enough for everyone to play nice. Some of the guys that screamed the loudest were also on his site to see how he developed the more "unique" aspects of his plane. I gather that he felt he would rather pull down his site than let them benefit from his work. Luke hasn't responded to anything from me since then so this is merely conjecture. Only he can tell you his real motives.

NO..... Luke lives in Florida. Sometimes you just have to pull back and go your own way.

Luke,
If your out there, thanks from a novice who learned more from your postings than I have been able to learn in many years of looking at magizines and how to books.

I'm afraid Luke must have a bit of a temper in addition to his other foibles . Too bad, as has been said, it's a great loss to the community.

No, he's not from Iran, thayat's a joke, son.

If U want to know what set him Off. Look into the F2G posts where some guys attacked him.

It's sad because he was designing some plans for an F2G, and I Have a friend that was a Mechanic on that 57 Bird
