Default P-38 for 2 Zenoah G-20s

I have a friend that is wanting to buy or build a P-38 but he wants one that he can put 2 G-20s in. I have been looking around but don't many options. He wants a nice P-38 but doesn't want to spend $5000.00 for it.

BTW, This not a thread to bash G-20s, please keep your comments to what plane will fit 2 G-20s, thanks.

Terry,
Do you know anybody thats done the G&P Lightening. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about it. Some pictures looked pretty far off outline and others looked ok to me. I bought some plans for a ~96" ws stickbuilt Lightening and may build that one eventually. I dont recall right off the top of my head who the designer was.

Also try www.vicrc.com. He has a nice all fiberglass P-38 about 92" wingspan. I have all the small glass parts from Vic and he does a nice job. I'm sure the whole plane would be great. If you want stick built the Ziroli P-38 scales down pretty well by 20%. I'm working slowly on that. I was just looking yesterday at some accessories that might help the G20 fit in the narrow cowls. Check out www.toni-clark.com. They have an intake elbow and a slim exhaust to make the engine narrower.

I forgot about Vic. Saw one of his P-38 kits a couple years ago. Extremely nice workmanship.[sm=thumbup.gif]
