Weight of a US25 vs G-38
Does anyone know what a US25 weighs compared to a G-38 ?. On my plans for my Chipmunk, the G-38 is about the same size as the US25. I'm getting to the stage of engine selection for the plane. I'm thinking a G-38 or RCS 1.40. My wallet would really like the 38.

From personal experience the US 25 is a bit of a dog. Certainly giving up 13cc to the G-38 puts it at a great power disadvantage.
Go with either the RCS or G-38

US41 is another matter I have had 6 of them, the new version engines are great, for the slight difference and almost the same size this is the one to go with and the price is right, I have one now in a giant decatholon it well hold it steady on a vertical and a balsa usa 1/4 scale newport, they like to run on classic 18X10 nylon props.

Thanks for the responses. I was not really considering putting in the 25 boat anchor. I was just wondering the weight to see if the 38 would require lots of weight to the tail. The instructions tell you to put the servos in the tail if going with gas. No way as they ruin the nice fuse shape. I don't mind adding a little weight as the plane is building light.
