МЕ-109 1/10 composite build
Last week I received a model from friend of mine, Fokke from Bulgaria, of his Messer 109 in 1/10 scale. When I get home, there was a box waiting for me. Here is what was inside:
After I open the box:
Little more unpacking revile:
Immediately compared to my Bristol Scout in 1/9 show me that Me is much bigger bird...
Few more pics closer. Detailing is excellent. All panel lines and rivets are very clear and sharp. Sorry about blurry pictures, but my camera is gone and this is from my cell phone.
The weight of the parts where: Fuse - 6.25 oz, wings - 8.9 oz.
Wingspan is 39.3". Suggested electrical setup - 250-300W brushless outruner.
First thing I did was to cut stabilizer and control surfaces:

Definitely! His big Messer is a masterpiece, but this small one is not far behind! Personally I can't afford the big one, so I'll do what I can on this one. In any case this kit is few levels above all other kits I have seen in similar size. I'm really happy and excited!

I'm looking forward to seeing the little Messer in the air lz-23.
I know the big one isn't going to be cheap, but I'll sell my kidney if I have to. His work is as good as the bigger names out there in my opinion. The only thing I'm worried about is yet another set of expensive retracts!

It is going to be hard to work on few models at once, but i'll try to do the best I can. For the moment I'm working on ME only when something is drying on the yak project. But all will be done at some point.
I was thinking about bigger messer, but my house is very small and there is no space for big birds unfortunately... Equipping big bird is another story altogether.

Here is one of first flight of the small messer. It was in Bulgaria few months ago. I hope mine to fly at least as well!
