RE: rc sound effects
Traplet Publications here in the UK have a magazine called quiet & electric flight. Some time ago they did a series of articles onexactly how to do this. There is a clever German guy who has developed a device that will drive a .wmv file or similar from a flashed chip. Connect via a Y lead to you throttle, and when you put your trim up, the speakers produce the sound of your engine bursting into life. After that it produces the sound in concert with throttle position.
I know Traplet have a distributor in the USA so get in touch with them and they may be able to provide you with back issues.
Regards,
John

the website of the german bloke is:
http://www.benedini.de/Home_E/home_e.html
The sound system is pretty widely used in the large electric model world and i think they recommend something more like a 4" speaker.
thanks

Ram makes a machine gun sound module for airplanes. I don't know if you would be able to hear it over the engine though...
Tower Hobbies sells it.
