Default OV-10 Bronco Retract Question

I am getting ready to begin construction of a Uravitch Giant OV-10 Bronco and have a question concerning the nose gear. While collecting all I can about the aircraft and model, the February 2001 issue of Model Airplane News has a great article by Rich on his large OV-10. In the article, he explains he uses Spring Air Retracts (which I have) and a single servo for nose wheel steering. He also shows a picture of the linkage but it is so small I can not make it out entirely. However, I am pretty sure it is not a Pull-Pull system.
So now my question is, how do you hook up a servo for nose wheel steering (NOT using pull-pull) and still have the gear be able to retract etc??? Help needed please. razorback11

Default Nose steering

Spring air sells a special steering arm that allows for single control rod hookup to a servo

Default OV-10 Bronco Retract Question

The Spring Air rotating steering arm works great with just one pushrod.

Default Bronco nose wheel front or back ?

one remark
i think the nose gear on the uravitch plan retracts backwards
not like the full size where the nose wheel retracts in front of the nose

i know it's not a scale model but you might consider some
structural modification here to make it work and look better like the full size

good plan
i'll start on mine soon
