I put 2 more flights on mine today. I have to say, this is a really nice flying aircraft, if set-up with info in this thread. No bad habits. It's rather fast too at full throttle. I set my CG right at about 6.5". Does an abrupt pitch up when the gear are dropped, but that is to be expected. Not at all uncontrolable.
A friend took video, so I will put up a link as soon as it's posted.

Hope to have mine at Livermore next weekend for their Warbird event.

Eflight Power 60
Eflight 80 Amp ESC
Thunder Power 5 cell 5000MaH 65c battery

I still need to paint the crosses on the wings and reset the CG. I removed the covering on the wings and used .007 Fliteskin to glass them. I also mounted the servos inside the wing.
I'll recheck where the balance is now that I've done all the changes and adjust.

(also posted this in Herb's blog)

Yes! Maidened!

Got one for Christmas. Was a little nervous that it would be twitchy but after TO and the initial trim, went back to high rates (+/- 1" on ailerons, 3/4 up/dn elevator) and it was still tame. Had CG at the 6.25" mark and needed a bit of up after TO but seemed good in fight so might increase the reflex another 1/16th.

Used a 5045-500 on 6s and seemed OK but not overly fast. Will try different props next outing and a lighter battery then maybe put in the SK3 1900kv I have sitting around to speed things up a bit.

Looked great inflight although it was solid overcast and 46ΒΊ so didn't spend much time admiring it.

Anyway, good to be part of the "club"

cheers,
Mike

Hey guys I think I lost my mind I just built this bird in one day.

Im useing my power set up from my Hanger 9 Jackel. E Flight 700 500kv Heli motor with 120ampHV ESC with 3300 12s set up. It pushed my jackel around 170mph.

I also added a E size rocket in the rear with a little 5amp Brushed esc to ignite the estate rocket motor

I can't wait to see her fly

Default Missing canopy

One of the folding prop blades left in flight today and killed the canopy
