New Comp Arf Corsair !
Hi Guys-
Here's what Larry Tudor(Comp Arf Rep) told me about the new Comp Arf Corsair while I was at Top Gun, as best I can remember: About 110" span, was flying with 250 Moki radial, but the 2.15 would have been plenty, he said. A DA 100 would also be fine as an alternative he said. Supposed to be available late June, in two versions: one more of a builders kit, with more left to be done, and a more pre-fabbed version, with all hinging complete, etc. Priced at approx. 1600 for the builders kit or 2400 for the more prefabbed version. (Kit only-no gear or options included in this price)
Sierra Gear (they were WAY nice looking !), wing fold is actually hydraulic, using baby oil as the fluid. The wing fold is of course an option. (No pricing yet) The thing flew GREAT-Very impressive in the air.
Larry says more info to be up on the comp arf site in 1-2 weeks.
I took plenty of pics, but have not un loaded the camera yet-will try to post as time allows.

Interesting. I love the sound of the moki radial and have wanted one for awile. Im not the biggest fan of FW-190's or Seafury's and this Corsair looks to be a nice plane to use a Moki in. I dont have the time or a shop really to do a full builder's kit so options are limited. Hopefully this one will fit the bill. Either that, or wouldnt it be nice to have a twin moki powered plane

Very nice indeed.... That said this one does not appear to have the usual trade mark moulded in surface detailing the same as on their Mig-15 and 29, is this what the production kit will look like I wonder?

I'm pretty lathered up for this one, I have a Moki 215 just waiting to be put to good use.
The canopy looks very cheap & cheerful, a la Chinese ARF style - I hope that this was just done on the prototype(s) and that the kits actually have a separate frame and canopy setup.
I've got a call in to my C-ARF rep now. [)] Thanks for posting the photos, Mike!
