Thanks to all who worked this event....

Pete, I'm too tired to report today so I'm calling in sick. The Care Bears came to visit me last night and we partied a little too hard.
Seriously though, we had fun. Thanks Pete and Dave and all of the volunteers. And, thanks to all of the pilots who make the event what it is.
Best,
Brian

It was awesome. It was my first warbird event and I only joined this club a few months ago. My dad even loved it and he hasnt messed with rc airplanes since the 60's with his two spins around with a control line plane. Which went right into the ground. That B-29 show was great. The people, planes, and set-up were great. The only thing that wasnt great is the fact I want to blow my money on a giant scale warbird now... [:@]

Congratulations on another great event, looking forward to 09' and I may actually fly something!
Great noontime show on Friday, it looked like a scene from a WWI movie with 12 or was it 13 WWI planes in the air at the same time!

How many WWI planes did you manage to get in the air on Saturday?, it was an incredible sight. Thanks to everyone involved that made it an awesome event for us spectators.

RE: Warbirds over Delaware
Hi everyone. Thanks for the thanks. There are many who work hard for the event and its worth every minute. Big thanks go out to Pete and Dave Malchione who seem to just have everything under control no matter how hectic things got.
Unfortunately, I missed most of the Saturday show because I was out at the main gate with the Park Rangers from 6AM until about 3PM, but, I heard that there were 21 WWI planes that started out in the half time show. One plane went down due to battery issues and another plane didn't quite get airborne.....I didn't hear what the issue was. But, it must have been an impressive sight as I did see the awesome and inspiring sight of 13 WWI warbirds in the air at one time on Friday.
The Sunday half time show was also very impressive and we even had a short and unscheduled low flyby of a L-39...but he only made a single pass. Big thanks to Mac Hodges who stayed on Sunday to perform his impressive B-29 routine.
We've received some incredible positive feedback from pilots, vendors and especially spectators this year.
Big thanks to all of the pilots who attended this year. You make the event what it is! I don't have a final total but I hear that we're up around....and probably over....the 200 mark.
Best,
Brian

I had a great time Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I got three flights on my Wildcat and will post a couple of pics from the event here. I really liked the P-26!

Actually, and I know Dave and Pete aren't ready to talk about this yet, but, we've already been contacted with requests for information for next year's event. I may start up the online registration early.
Best,
Brian
