Pleasure to know your watching Chad, I've seen your work. Yes this 109 is a great kit, very well thought out by Jose. It literally builds itself, its so easy with the laser cut parts he supplies. In my humble opinion one of the very best kits I have ever purchased. I loved it so much I had to go ahead and order his Spit. I just could'nt wait. Adding insult to injury, Jose had to tell me about his next release.(which I will purchase as soon as its offered) I won't say what it is, but I'll tell you it has over a 100'' wing! As far as I know(not much)he has not said anything about it officially, so I'll not say anymore.
Jose will be around for a long time guys, and will only get bigger and better I'm sure.

p.s. I was out in the shop trying to get alittle done before it gets to damn hot again. It's been 106 degrees here for 3 days and the garage is a doorway to hell for heat. I brought all of my battery's in just to be safe.

Thank you Casey, being around for a long time sounds like a good idea
For sure this 109 is not and ARF, but it will look and fly right when finished.
Also, there is always room for improvemet so I keep upgrading the kit.

Iwas looking into the control of wing functions (slats, ailerons and flaps) and was wondering if it will be easier to assign servo for each, especially that very small and powerfull servos are now available, which will allow easier horns linkage setup?
Also thank you for the link to the thread, it is an awesome work you are doing there, I'm envy at that sort of skill. I will follow it very closely.

thank you for the kind words erans...not so much skill, but patience and planning. As I have not built the wing as of yet, I can't say about the use of separate servo's. All I can say is that Jose has thought out everything very well so his set up is probably the most effective.
I'll try to put together a list of items that I've found very useful, hopefully that will help you out abit. I've found some excellent Glues(vpoxy from BVM) and a really great filler that I can't remember the name of at the moment lol.

reg. slats/flaps construction: it would not be easier to use 4 or 6 servos instead of one at all. Also the more servos you have, the more chances one will fail leaving you with partial flap/slat situation. The torque tube works very well and you only set up once. You only need a good 100oz. MG servo to do the job.
For ailerons use one standard size servo on each wing per plan.

I'm stoked - I just received the first of two boxes from Jose. This one has all of the fiberglass (there's a lot!) and the canopy, all nicely wrapped and crated.
Good timing, I am clearing a Giles G-202 (the discontinued 27% Midwest kit) off my bench. Should be ready to maiden it in the next couple of weeks.
This will be my first large-scale warbird, and first fiberglass fuselage as well. I'm really looking forward to building it and detailing it. I've been looking for a 109 of this size for some time.

hope it helps you collect some for the build, also Jose mentions using parts from nelsons hobby. Just go ahead and order it now, its what you'll want to use anyways lol.
