Oh no!
On the plus side, I finally traveled south to visit my parents and brought the 109 back with me! And its great news a newer version is coming out, hopefully the mains in a more scale location.
Have one big project and one minor project in front of the 109 in the build que, but I am keen to get it flying!!! I think I will get a repaint before flight.
I have been thinking of molding a carbon fiber spinner and getting a back plate machined up...
For those chasing up a replacement canopy Ty's Planes still sells them.
Thanks
dave

You got it, that's great
My one is coming along, wing surface's all done retracts and 4'' wheels fitted, I have removed the front tray for an ic motor and made up a motor box that fits on the bulkhead for a normal e install, modded the exhaust stacks (there to big) also made up a fg full size top hood that is the battery cover

I think I’ll be going gasser. The only thing that would make me go e-power would be if I could swing a scale sized prop.
also got the H9 mustang to finish. That’s got the DLE-30RA going into that one. But trying to find a lighter 25-30cc option for the 109
Limodune are you also going to get one of Ty’s Cockpit kits for it?

I did one of Ty's cockpits for my CMPro Fw-190 and they are a bit fiddly, but lightweight and look the part once in.
What pilot are you going to get?
have you seen this thread?

I will get the pilot from tophobby, a US e-bay seller, I have had them before they have good detail and paint up well
Yes I have seen that vid I could not believe the weight of the plane, did not think you could go to that size with electric

Hey Dave and Mike, if you are going to be making an order from Ty then you should consider getting the DF loop and guns he makes for the Fw-190 at the same time (save on shipping). They are the right size for this plane. Although I think I was one of the first to buy this plane when it was new, I never built it. My son and I just started working on ours and are converting it into a G6. I know they would be easy to make, but it was a few less things to have to fabricate.

I've already drawn up the MG17 barrels ready for 3D printing
DF loop should be too many dramas to draw up either, but both would have to be removable or they would keep getting damaged.

Those are nice looking barrels. The picture I posted before is one I got off the Internet. I think it is the belly of an Fw-190, but it shows the DF loop installed. I'm just getting started on my plane and have only ripped into the wing to make new gear mounts. Other than that it still looks pretty stock.

A bit more progress, got the motor and esc installed and working, I have also made up a new larger lower removable panel which gets rid of some unwanted panel lines and adds a bit more scale, also cut in some air vents
