Ok thanks.
i drew up a scale hub to replace the William bros 3.5” wheels that came with my landing gear, but I have just ordered some flexible fillament to try printing my own wheels. Guys in Germany are actually using 3D printed wheels and hubs on a 1:3 scale turbine powered BAe Hawk with great success, so I’m going to have a crack at it myself. This Williams bros wheels will be my fall back if I can win with the flexibale filament.

i over vapored that hub so its lost a little detail. I forgot it was in the vapor jar
my customer build is progressing well. If I can get it to paint this week it’s all the closer to the 109 project starting!!!!

Got the BF 109 to the field today on it's forth visit and it finally got maiden'ed, after some minor trimming it flew well, inverted it and it is just a little nose heavy, an easy fix, came in with full flaps and it landed very gently on the mains, then the tail came down, very happy with it, will get a couple of more flight days in then it will go to the paint hanger, no spinner fitted cut yet as not sure which prop I will end up with
All ready to go

New canopy and pilot
Canopy much more scale looking than the CMP one
No more flights yet with the 109 as just to windy, I have taken a mold of the spinner and and then taken a fg one from the mold, the weight is about 1/3 of the original
Mike
mold taken from the original spinner
New fg spinner and the original, one third of the weight

The wind calmed down for a day and I managed to get two flights in, the C of G is good after moving it back a little after the maiden, beginning to feel comfortable flying it
Mike
full flaps for landing

Thanks, one more flight day and then I will paint detail it
The C of G is about 115mm now, the canopy is from parkflyer plastics, took a gamble as it is not shown as a CMP replacement, but it show's dimensions which seemed to be similar, it's the same length but sits lower on the fuselage which is how it should be, yes have the mold for the spinner but will not be making a back plate, have you made any progress with your build

Is that your new canopy fitted to the model? because It looks like its tinted in the pics?
I keep forgetting that you went electric with this one. I am still looking around for a 25-30cc motor for the 109, haven't decided on anything yet.

Hi Dave
Yes that's the old yellow one that came with the kit, the new one will go on after the paint job, I will leave it to last as I hate painting canopy's

Hi Dave
No--we have a war bird day at TARMAC on the same weekend, a couple of weeks before that we host the Southern Cross war bird day also
Just a couple of pics of it together, center canopy is not attached yet, guns and areal to be done also some panel lines and weathering

Got the frames installed in the canopy and made up the wheel covers and a mast, finished off the panel lines and mild weathering, now all I have to do is enjoy flying it
