Now this is an interesting plane that you don't see hardly at all. I will be watching your progress closely, if it is anything like your previous planes it should
be very impressive.
Since your making the molds for this one as well will you be selling kits or is this just for yourself?

RE: MIG-3 1/5 full composite
It sure was, the plane was incredible over 4000m. Not so good in the fights the Germans typical brought to the Russians, which kept things under 1000m most of the time.
Not to mention the Great Purge Stalin was doing when Operation Barbarossa started had mostly decimated the entire leadership of the VVS, thus most of the pilots were used to flying the older I-15's I-16s.

Yes that is it ,this is the reason Mig 3 to be in short series, but this is not reason to be a bad airplane ,just quite the contrary
I hope this my projekt to be better and more quick

RE: MIG-3 1/5 full composite
Well, beside all of the above, MIG-3 was also much more difficult to produce in sufficient numbers, so technologically was inefficient at the time of production, compared to rest of Russian fighters...

I'm really sorry about this delay. At the moment I'm packing all of our stuff - we are moving faraway due to health problems, so will be at least another two months before i can continue on my models again. But definitely the YAK project going to be on its feet shortly after that. The other project - KB-3 is close to finishing, but will have to be continued by my friend Ivan.
Will keep my finger crossed for Wildcat to be ready on time! Will be great if you can post some pics of her after she is ready.

I'm sorry to hear that you have to move due to health reasons. That sucks!!! I hope everything works out well.
The Wildcat will be ready for Reno. I have to change the spark plugs Tuesday and then it's just cleaning. Then we head for Reno on Sat. I have my best friend set up for a P-51 ride while we're at Reno. He's pretty excited as he's never had a warbird ride.

RE: MIG-3 1/5 full composite
Hi everyone!!
That´s an incredible project fokke!!
I´m a fan of the mig 3 to. I´m thinking in build one in 1:5.5 (about 185 cm. or 72.83 wingspan) for an engine of 24-26 cc. (gasoline).
Searching information in the net, I found several sites whit information about this plane. Here there are:
http://www.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/mig3/mig3.html
http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw_fw.html#2 (This have drawings of airplanes of the WWII)
http://walkarounds.airforce.ru/avia/rus/mig/mig-3/
http://www.ae.uiuc.edu/m-selig/ads/aircraft.html (This site have information about airfoils)
I´m going to follow closely your project!!

If you look hard enough on the web you can find this reference book.
I have found a lot of stuff on www.farposst.ru. A pain to download but patience wins the day.

For example,

A little more organized

Yes ,will be more easier to make mould for wing and fuse ,but will be hard to transport the wing ...........the wingspan is 2040mm or 80.3"
Like this method on pictures here: http://fokkerc.flugmodel.net/me109.html

Interesting ,your planes maube are like my Emil ,with half wings ......3 meters is too much for transport or you have Truck pickup
