Default Scale award question

What is the most prestigious award for the most scale accurate war bird and where is that event held? Thanks in advance

Scale Masters and Top Gun are the two best in the US I would have to say.

Scale Masters takes place on Oct 9-12, 2008 in Sarasota, Florida, read all about it here.

Top Gun is a bit different, and works a little different as well. http://www.franktiano.com/TopGunFrameset.htm last year it was in Lakeland, FL. I'm assuming it will be there again this year as it is Frank T.'s home town.

Top Gun is great, Scale Masters is great. But remember Top Gun is a qualifier for Scale Masters.

It may depend on who you talk to and where they are from. On a grand scale probably the FAI Scale World Championships which is held in a different country each year and has participants from many nations. Top Gun is tough for sure but I think the scale judging in F4C competition is tougher yet.

I think the Scale Masters
You have to qualify for the championships
Top gun is by invitation not necessarly how good you are but who you know

Jim, I knew your Dad well. My name is Terry Rollins and I own a hobby shop in Van Buren. As memory serves me it was Jim and Peggy.

Jim, FT hasn't sent out invitations yet this year. Send him an E-mail with pix and your qualifications. Maybe an invite to TG will follow. Mitch
