RE: KMP Bf-110 Nothing like Twins
I like the electric king in my local club regarding warbirds and sometimes get a bunch of crap for it from the peanut gallery that's all about fuel powered planes. I know how well my me-110 flies on electric and its enjoyable. However, I do have to admit that flight times are limited and number of flights in a day is also limited depending on amount of batteries you have available.
Whichever way you decide to go on the B-25, keep in mind, the CG does NOT need to be 85mm. Its much closer to 120mm. Very much similar to this me-110. Manual says 85, but mine is at 137.
I think going gas would be best for flight times and the plane really cant use larger then 16x8 or 17x8 3 blade props due to ground clearance, so there is no advantage for electric here since you wont have any need to try and spin something like 20" diameter props but have the motor contained within a small cowl. However, the electric does have the advantage of not having to hack up the cowls and the bomb bay area would be a great place to have your batteries unless you want a working bomb drop.
If electric, I would say power 90's on 8s with 16x10 props. My me-110 is running power 60s on 6s with 16x10's, but its much lighter then the B-25 with less frontal drag.

thank you for your reply,
i already have two 5 cell 5000 mah lipo batteries, which in case i will go electric i would like to use in series for safety purposes, which (cheap but relatively reliable say hobby king;
)motors would you prefer for a 14 kgr b25 turning 17x8 3blade props;
thanks!

The plane is too big to try running 5s per motor.
Your best bet for sound modules for electric setups is to go over and look on rcgroups. There are several people that have run different kinds, but the best sounding one seems to be the Benedini.

If you run the two 5s 5000's in series, that will be a 10s setup. A power 160 runs on 10s just fine, but a 17x8 wont load it up well. If you really want to run 10s, then you can use the power 160's(or the hobbyking G160 245kv) spinning a 16x12 3 blade prop. The pitch will load up the motor enough. You will need to run two sets of batteries. One set per motor...so each one would have 2x 5s 5000 for 10s 5000 per motor.

If you try running two power 160s off of only 1 set of batteries(10s 5000).....your flight time will be like 3 mins max with a high probability that one motor will shut down due to its esc seeing a low voltage situation with so much amps being pulled. A B25 is not going to fair well if that happens.
My me-110 has 2x 6s 6000 batteries. Each motor is run off its own battery. Flight time is 6 mins with the power 60s. If your going to go electric on the b25, you will need a minimum of 5000 mah per motor of whatever cell count you want the motors to run on.
If u don't want to buy another set of batts, then get the smaller hangar 9 b25 and fit that with power 46s on 5s per motor.

Hey TA152
Good looking plane and nice flight. I noticed when you landed that your plane made a hard left turn. I could see that you had a lot of right rudder in it. Does it always do that? I'm just curious because mine does the same thing. Our field is Geo Tech mat, and we have a safety fence in front of the pits, and mine always runs into the fence. Getting kinda tired of fixing buggers in the leading edges, broken props, and dented spinners. I just thought flying off of a grass field might help with that problem.
Thanks
Ron

Ironically, I fly off of pavement and I've never had mine do anything but land straight without any tendency to vear one way or the other.

Hey Kahlog
If you look at the video of his landing you can see that he has full right rudder in it and the plane is still turning left. That is exactly what mine does. Unfortunately our field is not wide enough for that type of maneuver. Do you have any idea why they are doing that? I had a whimpy servo on my tail wheel, but have replaced it with a high torque metal gear servo, but after watching that video I'm not sure that is going to make any difference.
Thanks
Ron

Hi Ron.
It turned left because of a very soft airstrip after the winter has gone. Have you checked that your wheels running free under pressure ?
Here is the second flight last year.

Hi Digiatr, very nice model. Mine will be electric and I wonder which kind of Eurokit landing gear you use. In Italy is easy to find. What is the lenght of the landing leg? Thank you

Hey everyone..
Joining this one late. Here's my 110... it's all electric (2 42-60s) 2x 90am Common Sense ESCs and 2 x 16x10 props. Not counter rotating and i've had no problems at all.
She slows to a crawl with half flaps and tracks really well.
I run an 8s 5000mah setup and of course Sierra Precision Retracts (never had a problem with them).
