Default Balsa Filler

Hey Guys
What type of filler are you using to fill gouges, cracks, gaps, etc. Must be easy to sand, and flexible. Have even heard about the use of drywall filler. Please advise. Thanks. Chic

I often used drywall plaster. I also used Durham's water putty made real thin but usually only on boats since it does make the wood very wet so you have to be careful of warping.

This stuff works great, and it's lighter than regular drywall filler...
