yep same old planes , its appears to be the flymodel version copies of the CMP planes .
The P40 is a Balsa Products , some problems but a great flyer .
The P51 look to be flymodels , good P51 to bash into more scale , ok vale for the price .
The hellcat is the picture of a real CMP 70" span so you dont know what your getting , they have the span smaller then the facts associted with thge plane in the picture.
Again , its the name game lol , you know I like Hobby King and when they send me emails its from Raidentech - one of the worse sellers ever on RCU , Ebay and in the world lol . BUt as Hobby King they cleaned up there act .
REmember for the most part you will see Nitro PLanes , Raidentech , e garbd buy , general hobby , and about 5 more name all with CMP and cmp copies .
I bought the willshobby seafury on ebay for $129 , same plane general was selling , I bought the 70" hellcat from Flymodels on ebay for about $79 plus $45 for shipping ect .
If your looking for a turn key warbirds , then skip these planes and sellers , I like the mods so there right up my alley for the cost

If this should happen again please foreward the email to me complete with headers.[email protected] We've been having a few problems with other parties apparently getting email addresses of forum members and subsequently had to tighten up link access so those "other parties" (mainly Chinese competitors) can't use forum links to access info about members and send emails like you're received. Thank you.

KMP and ESM in my opinion are currently the ones I would choose over anything else out on the market. For me all ARF's need some further detailing and these products offer the best scale outline and size options for what I like....

Ron will do , no problem !!!
Jet Fx , could not agree more on arfs, I was buying all CMP planes , avg $179 thru $269 depending on the release ect , now that ESM has dropped the prices thru the new distribution team of Troy Build models and VQ/Tomas , the planes are well worth the $300 price .
You wont find a better model in that size and price and quality .
As far as distributors I would really looking into buying supplies ect from Hobby King , I am seeing much of the stuff in the USA on there site at much cheaper prices .
4 strokes 180 size , same design as a Magnum engine for under $260 !!!!! , eflight jets for half the cost of the same planes in the USA .
I am looking into there gas engines but still waiting to see some longer performance reviews for the ones in the field , some are reporting good things at first need more info

RE: General Hobby ARF P-51 kits. Any good?
I would DEFINITELY STAY AWAY from General Hobby. The Ulitmate 120 Biplane I purchased on 03/28/2011 is a POS. There were no instructions at all in the box although a telephone call to Rich (barely speaks English) and a simblance of an instruction manual was sent via email attachment. The manual doesn't begin to adequately describe how to finish construction.
The aircraft covering was completely wrinkled and pulled loose in numerous spots, many of the hinge slots were cut crooked, the hardware package is typical Chinese crap, and customer service is non-existent. I've sent 3 emails now with no response whatsoever.
I'll be opening up a conflict resolution case wtih PayPal in the next day or two.
Stick with an established, quality company and you'll have much better success in purchasing a quality kit, ARF, or RTF.
Your results may vary....

Not worth buying anything from generalhobby. This guy rips you off. By the time you have to fix everything inorder to get your plane to fly right its just not worth it. Watch how you pay for fedex shipping but he sends it out USPS then pockets the difference. If you are missing parts he just says that that type of plane does really come with that, even if it is in the picture of parts or not. Stay away, beware!

Do you work for Hobby King, or just get paid for promoting them on RCU?

Well, doing business with General Hobby was a good one. I must admit though, after reading about the unfortunate experiences some of you guys had with them my heart dropped to the bottom of my feet because I saw the reviews here on RCU, FG & RCG AFTER I purchased one of their Skyline 30cc MXS-R for $259.
The only issue I have with this ARF thus far is the color of the cowl and canopy is somewhat different from the fuselage. And, it doesn't have a removable stab as advertised.

I'm about an hour or 3 away from buying the VERY hard to find anywhere P-38 Lightening ARF from General Hobby. Its on sale right now for $230 and for a Twin, and even if it flies at all with twice the expected work on it, Its worth it. And yet at the same time, what if it doesn't fly worth a darn? On that note, does anyone have ANY info/experience on how the GH P-38 flies? With Nitroplanes, I have experienced both heaven and hell with their planes quality. My 76" Tiger Moth (with 4 ailerons!) is a absolute sweetheart with the big Magnum 1.80 4S in the nose for ballast... I say ballast because she is one HEAVY ship and tough to hit CG! On the other hand, I assembled and crashed their pos $79 Pitts Special that simply wasted 2 days of my life and a lot of hard work ... I think the bottom of a Kleenex box would have made a better wing airfoil... Anyway, any info on the NP/GH/Raidentech P-38 90" ARF would be awesome. Thanks!
