I still have those plans you sent me, I took them out from envelope and that is what I miss placed. I started to look how I am going to do it and then I stumble across the original drawings.
Will not be any trouble at all for me.It will be my pleasure to know that part of ...me flyes over the Europe sky.

I also received a Hangar 9 P-51 last week. Is this I different design than the first run of blue noses? I Do notice alot of oval holes cut all over the place to lighten the plane. Did the first run have these?

Where exactly do you mean when you say 'all over the place'? Maybe some pics would be good!

One thing that is disgustingly obvious is that the firewall where the motor mount bolts up is way crooked. I can deal with it though.

A 4 liter V8 eater,

Here is a shot of my hatch that came out of my crash of the Blue Nose P-51. As you can see, they do not match!!!

Hopefully the weight wasnt the only issue they addressed. But it will help the wing loading a ton, whats the weight supposed to be now.

Guys;

Ome of my club member show me a way you can find the stall speed of your airplane. Take the square root of the wing loading oz/ft and multiply that number by 4. It will give you the stall speed in MPH. Looking at my old manual the wing loading is 29-31 oz/ft. That put the stall speed at 22.2 mph!!!! Check this out and see if you come up with the same number!!

HI,it could be more lighter than the first blue nose,,it will be very interesting to know the stall speed wiht all the news upgrades.

Hey Sonny, what do you thinkg about the stall speed you says,22,2 mph.?is a fast speed or is a poor speed to stall.Could all these holes in the new blue nose help to reduce weight and the stall speed?

It's built in right thrust to counter the torque of the propeller.

So how many of you that have flown the blue nose noticed the plane climbs dramatically when applying full power? I have the Saito 125 and I can't keep keep her level to save my life. In fact I've been rying to add mixing with down elevator to help. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Check the balance of the airplane and check to make sure your flaps are up. Maybe you accidentally mixed the flaps with the throttle.

So is the front of the cowl slanted also for the nose cone to line up correctly? Does the motor mount bolt to the firewall off center?

Guys...
20 oval holes as far I could count 13 on hatch, 3 on servo pad and 4 for wings...how much wheight it can gain 50-100 grams. Remember that weight was not the real big issue, are guys that fly this plane at 12 some LB. It was the basic construction, poor glue on all areas and wing structure.Now ...do they use better plywood, do they glued with better quality glue (not to soften on heat) and all key points. Please take the strut door off and take a good picture in that area, Check the part in there where you have to put the servo wire trough, the square ply with like 1/2 hole in it see how stiff that is.
Here is what I did ( I know it takes forever) I do not have the time I will like to. but here and there I do more.some day will be done.

Great job,i7x58!!! This is the way it should look when you open the box at home. In my kit building days, the center wings joints, landing gear blocks and fire wall would look like you did in the wings. I know they don't have the time to do this, but, when we receive them, we find the flaws and get mad. I would love if they came out with the kit and ARF Blue Nose P-51. That way we can pick the one to go with. I know people do not have the time to build, but, some people do, ( like me!!!) But I know the days of the kits are over!!

kurrikan;

The speed of 22.2 mph is a low speed, but to tell when we are above this speed for takeoff, is a judgment call. Some people I talk to who fly warbirds,say the plane will let you went it is ready to fly. Thats way people do long takeoff roll and no fast climb out with warbird. Now we have to wait and see what the next Blue Nose look like.

BTW; Did you find a new P-51 yet??? I won't tell the wife!!!
