Twin Warbird suggestion for KMP
Wouldn't you think it would be great, for KMP to get a 'de Havilland Mosquito'; how cool would that be, to have one parked beside their 'Bf 110 Zerstorer' at your local Flying Field; same size more or less, made for 2 90 size 4 strokes; I know Nitro Models sells a smaller one, but one from KMP would be excellant, considering the quality of their other planes; I'd get one for sure.

P-38's are already well covered....
GO THE MOSSIE 90-100" span for two 90-120 four strokes.
Andrews a Canuk so it would be another natural choice for him, the Canadians flew em too.... theres not one single "decent sized" and "scale" Mossie offering anywhere on the market that Iam aware of. Bring on the Mossies please KMP[sm=wink_smile.gif]

RE: Twin Warbird suggestion for KMP
I couldn't agree more with JET FX and I couldn't say it any better than JET FX; P-38's are well represented and several are offered in both ARF and KITS, and don't forget about how many B-25's are available, 4: KMP, Hanger9, Top Flite and Nitro; and correct me if I'm wrong, KMP at one time sold a P-38, I know VQ Models and Nitro Models has them; but like JET FX says, not a single decent sized and decent looking scale or even sport scale Mossie is avalable, except the one from Nitro, but I'm sorry, its not all that great looking, I do hope Andrew from KMP reads this thread, lets have a KMP Mossie.

Evil,
Agreed, the Ta 152 was a hot looking bird but it never went beyond the development stage. I think that was a good thing for the Allies!
As for the Mosquito, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think it is one stunning example of aviation elegance. But then, I think the Hawker Hurricane is gorgeous, too. I would love to see a well-done Mossie made available by Alex.

How about a HE-219, The TA 154 is great even though there were only 15, Good thing the Germans ran out of glue for them. But the top of my list would be a B-26 Marauder.....

I'd like to see a DO-335 or a JU-88. Maybe a Jap Betty or a Brit Beaufighter or a Navy Neptune!

Discribed as a fuselage being dragged around by two engines it was an awesome machine.
Cheers,

...what would be the equivalent to the Me 110? Well, the Westland Whirlwind?
How about a Blenheim? Once, I built the Balsacraft Blenheim. She was a interesting looking night fighter.
But I would like to see a Focke-Wulf 189 Owl recci plane or Ju 88G as Atlantic long range fighter used to protect the Uboots in the Biscaya (although mission failed).

Marty,
Another Mosquito? the Hornet was far superior and could fly loops around the Mossie! the canadians and the australians flew it too.
As of the He219 there is already a kit: http://www.vanvan.us/he219.htm
The Westland Whirlwind? also being produced: http://www.rcscalebuilder.com/forum/....asp?TID=12683
P38, was size would you like it? Yellow, Ziroli or http://vicrc.com/products_p38.htm
Beaufighter? now that's something we haven't seen in a while,
JG

RE: Twin Warbird suggestion for KMP
Luftwaffe Oberst recently ran a poll for the next WW2 Warbird, directed at Hanger 9 & Great Planes, with the usual bunch of single engine fighter requests so just to be annoying I put in this list of multi engined warbirds I'd like to see... this seems like the appropriate thread to repeat it (and I don't care if it's KMP, H9, GP or anyone else who does it, and while I'd prefer a kit I'd be satisifed with a good scale ARF).
United Kingdom
De Havilland D.H. 98 Mosquito
Avro Lancaster
Vickers Wellington
Westland Whirlwind
Bristol Beaufighter
Germany
Dornier DO 217
Arado Ar E.340
Junkers Ju 88
Japan
Messerschmitt BF110
Kawasaki Ki-45-KAI
Mitsubishi Ki 21
Russia
Ilyushin IL-4
Tupolev SB-2
USA
Martin B-26 Marauder
Consolidated B-24 Liberator
Martin A-30 Baltimore
Out of that list my preference would be for the Mosquito or the Beaufighter. Hmm maybe we need a poll so KMP etc can look at the top three responses or something. Better still if KMP, H9, and GP can each build one (a different one each please) of the top three so we'll have three to choose from instead of one.

Sandmann, do you mean Arado 240 which operated in Russia and over England? (The Ar E. 340 is one of the freak designs falling under Luft 46 or 48
I would really like to see a proper German or Japanes twin engine fighter plane. Especially the JU 88.
The JU 88 was produced in large numbers and played a inportent role as day time fighter over the Biscaya where Adm. Dönitz lost the "Battle of the Atlantic" due Göring´s and other Luftwaffe-fellas´ incompetence. History beside, the JU 88 is a great looking plane andI remember the story in which Roald Dahl (in "Going Solo") met this kind of plane in the Mediterranean. The JU was famous as night fighter too. An old friend of mine was a radio/radar-operator in the JU 88. He really liked the JU 88. Anyway.
There is one kit aviable in Germany:

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the HE-111 medium bomber from Germany.
I wouldn't mind seeing a JU-52 with the corrugation molded in. There used to be one from Fiber Classics but it was too large and waaaay too expensive.
Or how about one of the Italian 3 engine bombers? Something like the CantZ or the SM79.

RE: Twin Warbird suggestion for KMP
The Ta 154 actually made it into basic production (the Ta 152 was in full production), 35 of the production aircraft were built (the A-1s). There were a number of A-0's (around 15).
Had the Jumo 211N been further along, there more than likely would have been more, but poor engine performance all but stillborn the Ta 154.
