Default New - KMP Ki84

I see KMP has a new Ki84 out and it looks just like my smaller one from Hyperion. I love this plane ! It flys so well, the one I have now. I hope the larger one will fly as well. Too many nice planes coming out from KMP. They are going to bankrupt me or cause my wife to divorce me

Looks nice but I would prefer it 88" for 50cc. In this size I would pass.

Wow, I had the Hyperion version and it's smaller and not half as good looking as this one from KMP. What do you think the best size electric motor would be?

I don't know what the AUW will be but if it's like the other KMP planes I would throw a Power 110 or 160 in it.

Love the Frank and this one is as nice as I have yet seen in ARF format, but this ones a little bit small for me personally. Iam in love with the flying qualities of the larger 1/5 scale warbirds with +80" span

One of my all time favorites, glad to see KMP and others finnaly getting around to doing the Japanese WWII aircraft. I will buy this one and if they came out with a bigger one I'd get that too. So many great schemes for this ship. I actually have one of the Aerotech KI-84s but can't see getting the time to finish her. Beautiful detail though. The camo scheme on the Franks was one of my favorites

This is a detailed version of the Frank aircraft modelled by KMP. Great weathering! http://agapemodels.com/?p=262

Yeah both the Frank and Tony have some great camo & weathering cominations. The Ki84 is like a trimmed down P47

Manfred,
FYI, for some reason the link you posted seems to be no longer working. Would be grateful if you could see if those photos are still up - I happen to be just about to weather / scale-up the smaller Hyperion version so real-life photos of a used Hayate would be a great help.

I can no longer find that model on this site. Had no idea that was a Christian modeling site.

88" for 50cc? Why not just put a 50 in this one? I have a World models P47 and a KMP Bearcat both with 50's in them (CRRC Pro and DLE55) and they fly very well - and you wont need as much nose weight. Ive always been of the opinion that if you are starting a project and will need ballast up front, then just get a bigger motor. Ive never managed to over power a warbird yet.....
