Default Easytiger Feisler storch

anyone seen an actual picture of this plane ?
Built up all woord, 94" span... sounds cool but there are no photos.
Like most of the Easytiger nitro stuff, it's seems over priced compared with most other similar ARF's such as the PT22 & P-47.
their Ki jap fighter seems to be the most reasonable priced warbird they have.
the storch looks rather interesting thogh

Is that the stock gear in these pics?
If so I can see what you mean..... I have owned one of the old Svenson Storchs for many years and its legs are true to scale, fully oleo sprung and functional!
Those legs in the pics above appear to have zero give at all??? and landing loads would appear to be transfered directly to the gear/wire attachment points which would likely be a disaster waiting to happen. The Storch needs a properly sprung and fairly rugged undercarriage for sure I reckon.

I'm very interested in the Storch...This one sounds great, but I'd have to see pics before I could make an assessment on the price.
Glad to see more unusual WWII planes are comming out

These websites complain about lack of traffic, before I take the time and sign up I like to see the site BEFORE hand. DANG[:@]

Guys, sorry no oleo struts on this one , Still it's a great plane and you could add after market struts pretty easily.

No, just got an email from Curits as I asked him about the plane. No oleo struts, but it should be easy to add them on the exsiting wires. Sounds like a great plane. I think I will pick one up and sell my Cub and use this like my Cub.

Jmohn,

Ahhhh, I see they pics pics up on their site just today...
Doesn't look bad, but the gear looks a bit wide, I need a closer look at those leading edges of the wings too. I'd like one, and it could make an interesting bash, but I think $250.-$300. is a more resonable price than what it lists for.

KMP is suppose to have a Storch available late this year. I am on the list, but the only info is that it will have a WS
of around 95".

Vmar (I'm not a big fan of these guys) makes a 76" Storch as well:

It's a nice plane for the price. The Vmar one is not very good. I had one and didn't care for it much. The ETM Avenger I have turned out great and has been an excellent plane. I just changed the wire to Robart oloes and it's been great. Sure looks great and turns heads at the field. It's a BIG plane too!

im also interested in the storch i had one on backorder from Richmond RC, but ive been waiting for 5 months now and cancelled that order. i looked at the Easytiger one on their website and noticed that it didnt have leading edge slats. thats what makes the storch and the gear ofcourse. i could bash it but the price is just a little too much, and if KMP is coming out with one? maybe ill just wait a bitt longer and check out the KMP

good luck and happy flying

KMP's is going to be more expensive...

If you are so concerned about scale, built it yourself. Bob Holman has some great plans in two sizes and if Storchman is done moving he has some even better scale stuff...

I looked at the pics on Easytigers site. I definatly don't care for the gear. It looks like it could be redone and made narrower ie more scale. I don't know if I would go 500 on it. I want one and wouldn't cringe at paying 500 or more if it was more along the lines of being scale in appearance. I like the plug in wing tubes- though the wing/ fuse attachment is horrible compared to scale, but the wide gear is too much.

hi Evil merlin. and your right about KMP being more expensive but they also pay more attention to scale. thats why most of their warbirds are so nice looking, and your also right i could just build it myself but im not nearly as good as you or the other builders here. im what you would call an ARF basher. my friend has a Aviomodelli Storch that im thinking about buying and perhaps some time in the future when im retired ill put it together

good luck and happy flying

KMP pays attention to what they THINK is scale. The Fw 190 is far from it, and the colors on the new SBD are horrid.

Evil,

You can get the KMP planes in primer if you don't like the paint schemes. The Stuka I have from KMP is always a top plane around the flying events I attend. Sure there are nicer planes out there, but not as an ARF. I have their new Hurricane and it's awsome! Bigger is better

After the crap KMP sold me for retracts, I'll avoid them. I cannot believe the lack of customer service and horrible quality of these retracts. That doesn't bode well for the rest of the product line in my eyes.

However, yeah in primer things are a lot easier to work with. I wouldn't mind building an A-24B.
