Default The World Models, Zero spinners

Found these Zero spinners in various sizes on the World Models Site.
http://www.theworldmodels.com/para/p...id=6&subcat=17

I sent an email to a local dealer to see if he carries them. The 63 mm spinner is perfect for a 40 size Zero. The shape also resembles a Focke Wulfe spinner.

They are not listed but are available from Airborne Models. Here's the website and phone for the North American World Models Distributor.

I think the 70mm will be to big for the 40 size , I used a 57mm & think it was big enough & fairly scale in size.

I have been looking for a spinner that would look good on a .40 size Focke Wulf. Thanks for the post.

Steffan,

I enlarged three views to the same size as my CMP 50 Zero and that is how I came up with the 70mm.

Now we know the spinners exist, if only we could find a local supplier.

After double checking my drawings I came up with 67 mm for the CMP Zero 50.

Here's the website and phone for the North American World Models Distributor. http://www.airborne-models.com/Index.asp 925-371-0922 I just spoke with someone named Steve and he says they carry the Zero Spinners in 76, 70 and 63 mm. In the colors Red, brown and olive drab. You can call in and place an order with him (price was around $16.00 for the 76mm spinner). I mentioned that the spinners were not listed and that he should get them up. Also I ordered from them a 400 ml tank that fits the CMP Zero with minor alteration. John

Here's a side view and one with the 3-view overlayed. This spinner is the 63 mm in Olive Drab.

And this pic is the Chino Zero with an Olive Drab spinner. I'm just posting this in case before someone says Zero's don't have Olive Drab spinners.
I meant to order the Brown spinner but I must have given the wrong part number. Oh well, I'm still happy with it.

If you have the 71" CMP Zero than it would be perfect. I scaled up A6M5 3-views to match and came up with 76.5 mm for the spinner.
I don't think it gets any better than that. Give them a call.

On an 80" Zero the spinner comes to 100mm so I would go with the 89mm spinner.

Yes I did, out of aluminum tube from the hardware store. I found that this material was the least likely to kink when bending.
I still need to paint/weather them.

Thanks.

Byron originals sells an all metal spinner (with no cut outs) for their Zero that would be perfect for the CMP 80". I have one for mine and it looks great and, between my ASP 400R and this spinner (it is heavy) should require very little nose weight. My build on this begins this winter!

[link=http://www.truturn.com/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?keywords=:16&keywords=Special&ppinc=1aspinners160&maxp=30]TruTurn[/link] is the only one I can find that is close. It won't work on the 50cc Zero because it is 3" but it will work on the 120 size Zero.
