CMP P-40 Warhawk 50 size it flies!
After reading all the horror stories on this bird i was reluctant to order one. Well my wife bought me one for my B-day and I assembled it. It has a Saito .82 for power and i even installed retracts. I was kinda nevous to fly remembering all the negative on this bird. Started her up rolled down the runway and lifted off, smooth as silk. Since then Ive put her through the the usual rolls, loops etc and she passsed w flying colors. This is a warbird and must be flown like one. Its one of the best looking warhawks out there, thats for sure and flies just as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rioG9l7Q0I

I had one that I built but never flew it. During the assembly I didn't think it was going to get finished because of the quality of the hardware. It was the best looking P-40 I have seen and especially in a .40 size. If they would put about $30 more into this airplane and a little more thought, this would be one of the best planes out there! I would certainly pay $30 more for a better quality airplane! Don't get me wrong, I like this bird. I would recommend having a little building experience before assembly! Your video makes me want to reconsider another.

I actually used all the harware it came with, its holding up. I did however made a few mods,i just put in a brace for the elevator rods so they wouldnt flex. I am putting bigger tires on it now the ones that it comes w are reeal tiny. I did purchase another for a spare, gotta have another "just in case"

...if you can drive a Ram 3500 with 60mph into a car port, you can land this plane too
Otherwise, good looking plane with a nicely running powerful engine. The apporach remains me on F104 coming in.

How was the engine mount? Mine barely had enough room to mount a Saito 82 in it. The retracts also were a problem and a headache but i've learned a few tricks to change that since the build.
