For anyone interested. I'm making exhaust stacks for the ARF, $15.00 for the pair shipped anywhere in the US.

Yep this is where I got mine

http://www.wyliewarbirds.com/product...glassparts.htm

This is a cool web site, I really want to convert my ARF into a razor Back, but I do not want to fiberglass and paint the whole bird.

2 Questions.

1st Can I put mono-coat over these fiberglass parts?

2n Where do you get the new canapy?

Thanks Mike

Have a DA-85 mounted and looking for a muffler that will fit in the cowling. Any ideas would be great.

Rotate the cylinder to about 7 o'clock. This allowed the factory muffler of my 55 to fit within the cowl with no problems. I don't know the size of your engine, but it might be worth a try.

It's been a long while since I went through this thread, but I was just wondering can anyone tell me what and how they set up tail gear doors?  I just ordered the tail wheel doors from WYIEWARBIRDS.COM .  They look great, however I need some guidance on installing the doors, maybe tfarmer96 could step in?  I had a look at the pictures on your website, but there didn't seem to be much detail on that specific part of the build.  So any help would be great from anyone and of course pictures would be good as well.

Cut the part in half then install your hinges then use ball links and control horns to make a linkage to open and close the doors.

I wanted to show the photos of the engine orientation I used along with the factory muffler. No cowl-cutting necessary to clear at all. This saves a bit of cash by not buying an aftermarket muffler. The center of the cylinder is at (roughly) the 7 o'clock position.

Do not bother. Looks great but performance is dismal. Two blade 26x10 makes it scream with near unlimited vertical.
