The price of your original engine divided by 35 flights is about $100/flight. Can't think of very many other things that bring the same grin for less!
Buy a new one and have fun! Then put your old one back together and bolt it back to the mounting board and use it a beautiful desk art!
Cheers

Based on the information that I have found on the cost of parts for a Moki engine (if you can get them) , you are better off to buy a new engine.
Moki will not respond to request for parts. I have been trying since March 2015. It is a great engine but when it breaks or is damaged, it becomes
a box of trash. I going with a different brand!

That is exactly what I am thinking about doing. My engine only had less two hours on it; mostly break in time on a test stand; only about 10 minutes in the air!

So...has anyone heard anything on the US-designed and built R2800-looking engine those guys were developing? Did anyone ever get one? If they assessed this situation with Moki and fielded a good running and SUPPORTABLE engine they'd put Moki out to RC pasture.

I think the Pegasus development is still ongoing, but the problem with them (in my mind) is that its a 200cc 9-cylinder motor that weighs in at over 13 pounds without a prop or hub. The Moki 180 weighs about 9 pounds, and the old 215/250 (just for comparison) weighed about 12. That's a lot of weight on the nose to offset.
But, with that said, I hope they do get it out to market. We need options in this big 4-stroke world.

I received word from AMR that Moki has contacted them after eight months and ask if the needed to order any parts!!! AMR ask if I still wanted
the parts for my 150. My reply of course was yes--if the prices are reasonable. I don't want to spend half the cost of a new engine to
repair a broken one. I assume that they are checking the prices. If I get a positive response I will let you know

Uh- Oh... their internet site is no longer available! http://pegasusengine.com/
This is the site you need to go to for the R2800. The owner told me a couple months back they are reworking the engine with a new ignition with low profile boots, adding a super charger which will double the horsepower and at a price point of $3500 including all the scale details. The scale items will no longer be an option only the hubs and props will be.
Suppose to be available by end of the year and other engines are in development as well. Talk to him, his name is Antonio and a great guy to talk to. His number is at the bottom right of the page and he will answer any questions you have.

Back to Moki, Mike sourced replacement valve springs from McMaster Carr. Once they arrive he will make sure they are the real deal and that problem will go away. My other Moki compatriot Phil told me Goetz has been tied up with some health issues but is now on the rebound so we'll have him fighting our parts supply battles again. I wrote an email to Airworld in Germany and they promptly threw a valve spring in an envelope and sent it to me. So there is another source though it may be easier to go through Goetz since he deals with Airworld all of the time.

Also, at the next RC show walk into the Horizon booth and ask anyone a question about the engine and watch the blank stares. 9 people in the booth and none of them know a thing about the engine.
