Hey Darryl, Yes I now remember you did mention this once Thank you. Will connect with you soon.

Thank you Tom, I will find the red silicone material in the local market. Any specific brand/name that you recommend?

It seems that a temperature of around 210 deg C is ok for the moki 250. Where is this temp measured? cylinder, cylinder head, crankcase. I want to place a temp sensor on the engine so I would like to know what the best spot is.
My moki is brand new. What is the best thing to do, if nececsarry, for break in of this motor?

Airbus,
I assume you mean 210 F as 210 C is about 410 F.

It sounds a bit hot to me as well, but WW2BIRDS mentions in reply #38 215 to 225C....

Stefan,
I'm pretty sure, from what I've been told on my moki's, keep the temp below 230 F.

My normal average temps after a flight with a baffle installed in a cowled engine are around 180 Degrees. Any hotter and i start to get worried that something will get damaged.

I put one on #1 and #3 cylinder. those are usually the coldest and hottest cylinders. I use the ones from Eagle Tree. There are two types. One that goes under the spark plug and the other that wraps around the cylinder tucked in between the fins.

I use just a single one from Spektrum and i have it located in the fins of the #1 cylinder. It is about halfway down from the top of the cylinder head about in the middle of the piston stroke.

Although i've never used the eagle tree one. That sounds like another good option to have with the ability to read two cylinders.

I just wish someone would make one to be able to read all five cylinders so i could really have a good idea of how the engine is operating.

Indeed! A multi-cylinder temp sensor that works with Spektrum would be very cool!

I'm having an issue with a Moki 150. The bottom cylinder will only fire at idle. Not a plug problem, tried changing the gap, put a Denzo plug in, no change. Any ideas? The engine is new and I have the blue box ignition.

JSZ,
I've seen them not fire due to low end needle too rich(should be around 1.5) and too much oil (using 1:35 instead of 1:50). I'm sure there are, probably, other reasons (ignition, wiring, etc), but these are what I'm aware of.

To me it sounds more like a bad coil inside the motor.

They have been known to be susceptible to this type of problem in all of the motors.
