Looking forward to the Mig 3. Funny, everyone thinks Mig only made jets. Also, everyone calls my Mig a Yak! Be prepared to correct people. The Russian aircraft are rare. Maybe we can fly some formation? I will have my Mig 3 as well.

I scratch built mine from plans. ( by that I mean no kit) They were from Dick Sarpolous published in the AMA mag. Flies great. It is very sport scale but is easy to handle. 88" wing, 50cc engine. Pretty fast.

Nice looking Mig. I am putting paint on mine even as I type. Nothing like a little deadline to keep you working.

All:

Northern Colorado has been blessed with near record rain so far this year meaning that all of the grass we planted several years ago has had a chance to grow!! The grass makes the site more appealing will do wonders in quelling the dust. Check out the attached pics.

Once agin we are expecting a great turn out for this year's event.

That looks very nice Mike what is the temperature in August around Ft. Collins? We know now how it is end of September - but this year you guys rescheduled one month earlier.
For us in Texas and around is that great because the fly-in at the bomber field was one week earlier (hard chance to get a kitchen pass hahaha). Now it's one month apart - and we can attend both big events- great!

I hesitate to comment on the weather for fear of jinxing the event, but.... Northern CO weather is generaly quite good in late August- day temperatures will be in the 80's night will be in the low 50's.

I will be there again this year! Bringing my FW190 and Zero. See you all there and drive safe

If anyone is interested in getting one of my fuselages let me know and I can bring it. This year I will be bringing a Jerry Bates design 1/5.5 Seafury glass fuselage, cowl and canopy frame for the pilot's raffle. Last year it was the Bearcat. Shame I cant bring my Bearcat as its not finished.

Evan Q, I will try and put a gear door cover on the 190

Vic

The field looks even better than last year! Good job! I cant wait to fly there again!

Here is my 190A beating the crap out of Toddski's 'Over Powered- Hand me down' 190d9 that I originally built ... How sad I missed that Dora. [&o]

Is there a pilots list, or confirmation my registration was processed? I went the paypal-fax route.

Also, Is there an area to have for-sale items on display?

Thanks

Howdy rc ken, myself and a friend from tulsa will be attending with his AT6, we're really stoked about it. from the first time I saw the dvd a couple of years ago I knew I had to be apart of this event,I was trying to go last year but ran short on funds this year isn't much better but my wife informed me that I was going no matter what the cost. "It's great having such a supportive wife "
I can't wait to meet all big boys that I see in the magazines, and It'll be great to be back in the mountains again

I'll tell you G-Pete, I guess I just got lucky with this girl we dated for 6 months then tied the knot and we're goin on 19 years, It is so nice to be able to enjoy this hobby without any wife drama.but don't get me wrong, if she has honey do's I'll do my best to get them taken care of.back in may I got the calender down and showed her all the events I wanted to attend in the month of june, which was every weekend but the first weekend in july it was all about her.some how it all works out so that everybody is happy.

Hey All,

Hoping to find a nice guy bringing a trailer from Texas to Warbirds over Rockies. I have made a deal to trade a plane of mine with a nice fellow who owns a Bud Nosen P-51 (104" Wingspan). The guy lives an hour from Houston Texas.

It has been 4 weeks since we made the "deal" and the cheapest we have figured out so far to send each other these planes is about $400 a person. So I am wondering if there are any nice guys coming out for Warbirds over Rockies or Warbirds over Pueblo with a trailer??? I would be willing to pay them for their time $$$ and some gas money $$$ and ask them to stick the P-51 in the corner of their trailer and haul up the P-51 (would be delivered to them in texas, and to haul down my plane back to Texas).

If anybody is coming, or knows anybody coming, I would really appreciate the heads up. Thanks in advance guys!
