RE: Indiana Warbird Campaign
Well another Indiana warbird campaign has come and gone..........First let me say THANK YOU to all the pilot's that came to fly .....Without you our funfly would be NOTHING....I know for a Fact that you 've all traveled many miles and I salute All of you.....Second I'd like to say Thank you to Dennis and Linda Crooks .....Without them This would NOT be possible....I can't tell you the amount of hours that Linda has put into this event....Her only goal was to make sure that ALL pilot's have a great time at this event....Third let me say THANKS to Chuck and Dwayne for the time that they put in on the flightline....they both wanted all pilot"s to have a safe and fun time on the flightline.....Thank's to Gary and Connie Bussel for their time in making this event possible. Their enthusiasim is contagious......I wish I could name everyone involved....but that would be impossible......not enough space.........I'll sign out by saying that I had a GREAT time.....I hope that everyone did....
Thanks again
Mark

RE: Indiana Warbird Campaign
Here's a few more pics for you guys. I truly appreciate the hospitality and enjoyment all of you provided for us Okies! It was truly a fun fly-in and we intend to come back with more folks next year. I've put the word out that you Yankees aren't bad to hang around with!! Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing all of you next flying season. I think some of the Minnesota guys are coming down next month for our big-bird fly-in so I'll order up some good weather right now!!!

RE: Indiana Warbird Campaign
Our fly-in is in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Oct. 9th & 10th with set-up and a bite to eat the afternoon/evening of the 8th. It's an abandoned airport runway and the city of Muskogee gave the FBO building to the club for a meeting place, nice gesture! I'm attaching the link to the club web page. The folks are great and the site is conducive to any size, shape, type of big model you can think of. It's billed as an IMAA fly-in so we get a few "danglers" (3D) who show up from Tulsa but the majority of the planes are scale. We don't have the clout of the IWC but we sure have a good time at a good site, come on down! http://www.trampsrc.org/index.htm

I appreciate all of the photos that have been posted and I would also like to share mine with everyone interested. I am happy to announce that I have just finished editing and posting my pictures of the 2009 IWC. You can view them (and others) via my on-line photo album, located here; [link=http://zimmerman.zenfolio.com/rc]http://zimmerman.zenfolio.com/rc[/link] - then click on the link to the 2009-09-04 Indiana Warbird Campaign (or the others, if you're interested). I hope you enjoy the photos, I tried my best to get good shots of most all the planes, but I was flying too and there were just too many nice airplanes at this event to get them all. The 2009 IWC was, without a doubt, one of the best events I've ever attended. I thought that the organizers did a fantastic job of running the event, I definitely plan on returning next year. My gratitude to Linda & Dennis Crooks and Gary Bussell for all their hard work, but, of course, I'm most grateful to my Dad, Stan Zimmerman, as well as my friends; Steve & Marilynn Bradford and Tom & Paula Nelson, for their great company and friendship that really made the event special.

Hey, Mud Duck, any way to download three of your pics of me and my plane? I'm a camera freak also and love to get pics of the guys and planes I take to them. I don't get many of myself and enjoy the few I find. My wife has proof I showed up at the fly-in when I can find something visual to show her!!!!

Howard you should be able to right-click an image and save it, but I see that it is not working. I will try to figure out why the site is not allowing this to happen, so please try it again later. If I can't get it corrected, I will gladly send the ones you request via e-mail. Thanks for the heads-up!
UPDATE: Try it now, when you go to the larger view of the specific photo, it should now allow you to right-click the photo and download. Enjoy!

Well, our entourage had three airplanes taking part in the event. When you look at my photos, you'll see that there are extra copies each in the offering. We had a 1/4-scale Fokker D-VIII with the lightning bolt on the side, a Balsa USA 1/3rd-scale Piper Cub in classic Cub yellow and a scratch-built 1/3rd-scale Piper Tri-Pacer in white & green. We also had a "Big Beautiful Doll" giant-scale P-51, but we flew it after hours on Thursday and Friday. I'd love to see any good ones you might have captured of them. Thanks!
