RE: 26cc ESM WARBIRDS READY TO SHIP!!!
Thanks buddy ! but I really wanted to go gas on this one , but also wanted to insure that whatever engine I do decide on would be powerful enough to carry a full figure two man crew as I propose, figuring that little bit extra would be nice to have if I needed it if not there is always throttle management

You have two gas options that will power the stuka with no problem and with no cowl cutting.
The Syssa 30cc http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_88...tm.htm#8862472
The Aerovate 28cc with keleo wrap around pitts muffler. http://www.rcaer.com/store/Details.c...=59&category=2
Both of these engines will swing a nice size 3 bladed prop and both should fit in the cowl with no cutting.
Check them out.

Hi Ispirit99,
Was it you who contacted me about animatronic pilots for the Swordfish? I've tried to reply to your email a couple of times but it keeps bouncing back.
cheers,
Sym.

My Stuka has got with it CA Hinges 2 on each elevator and 3 on the rudder. I am about to install them, do you think they are good enough or should I replace them with Nylon or other hinges.

I used the CA hinges in my p47 they seen to woork just fine. The ruder was easer to do and did not have to worry about chipping the fiberglass when drilling for new hings.

RE: 26cc ESM WARBIRDS READY TO SHIP!!!
they are wide hinges, but the elevator destructions show three, the planes cut for 2,go figure?? i am using three, and yes, i think they are strong enough, what i do, is mark the centre, stick a pin in, drill down the centre of the hinge slot with a 1/8th drill, (this is for wicking the cyno in) place the hinge in, up to the pin, cyno both halves, putting the cyno down the hole, withdraw the pin, this way, they are spaced out a pins thickness, and equal amounts of hinge are deposited in both surfaces, do NOT glue just one surface at a time, and while you are doing all this, you have to jiggle the horn/bellcrank in too-fun, aint it!!!!!

Hi Zero-322,
Yes you are correct, the keleo exhaust that is designed for the aerovate 26cc also fits the aerovate 28cc. Below is the dimension picture of the syssa 30cc and a link to the dimensions of the aerovate 28cc. http://www.rcaer.com/pages/files/RC%...ual%202010.pdf

Hi SLYMS! Yes, that was me asking about the pilots. I don't know why your E-mails bounced back but I'm glad to hear from you on this forum. I sent you an E-MAIL with my E-MAIL ADDRESS attached. Please try again. Thanks, Tony.

our shipment is due in march, opinion? well, not till i see one, but the pictures look good, i do know its probably the most labour intensive scale model to come out of the factory to date- its taken some development, i hope you enjoy your kit bash, what colour are you going to do? i fancy the french 2 tone blue, with the radial, the criquet, i had a good look round one at the La Fertie Alay show, stunning bit of kit,

Alan,
I'm doing up mine as B1+BB, as its a very local aircraft, and I can get rather decent access to the bird for all those little details to make it just a bit more scale. Not a clue what I am going to power it with as of yet.

"cc" = cubic centimeter, thats the short answer, you don't want the long answer

RE: 26cc ESM WARBIRDS READY TO SHIP!!!
Dude
Where is the North American Harvard AT-6 Texan in the lineup?
This is like the most complete lineup of Warbirds I have seen from one vendor, you would think ESM would have a texan.
I can see myself putting off a new troling motor for the bass boat if I could get a Texan with one of these mac daddy 28CC gas engines you guys are talking up here.....
I have visa card, standing by
