Hello all, Here are some pic of my KI-84. I am using a RCGF 26cc with a Kello exaust. I also converted the KMP retracts to Laddo electrics. Will also do the scale cockpit when it is ready.

The engine fits nicely.

Looking forward to seeing it complete. This is probably my favourite of all the ESM's

That's a nice solution for mounting the gas engine. Did you use the supplied control horns for the flaps? I'm missing the 3x15 flat washers. So I'm thinking of using Robarts.

I was missing the washers also. I had some nylon washers that were about the same size so I used them. This seems to be to only problem I have with the ESM kits. Of the last three planes I have built two were short hardware. The BF-110 was missing all the flap hardware so I used Dubro HD. hardware.

LDM The modification will only work on the 90 degree KMP Gen 5 retracts. I get the actuators from Magnaum RC. The only thing you have to do is open up the back side of the truin for the screw drive to clear. I did the same thing on my P-51 and they work great. They have a nice scale speed.

Hey all, Here are some Pic. of the cockpit kit installed in the KI-84. It came out pretty nice. Will need to find a little Jap pilot. He can't be more that 8" tall.

Neat airplane! I am building a Yokosuka D4Y4. 67" span. It will have flaps, dive brakes, lights, bomb drop and retracts. Fuse shell halves planked and wing done but needs servoes placed before closing it up. I have started drawing plans for a G3M 'Nell' ~80" span

Apparantly there is a matt and a gloss one.On searching the net it appears a lot of jap planes were painted in gloss colour schemes, some allied pilots desribing shiny zeros and such like.

Servos in wing panels and working,{horn washers missing] joining wings today.A bit of a tight fit with internal elevater and tailwheel steering, all driven on pull pull cable.I'm fitting 26 Zenoah, perfect length to prop driver, no spacers.

Hi Speedpro1,did you have to remove carb venturi, i did and fitted a crrc muffler which bolts straight on and its a bit thinner.Wings joined and on to fuse.Thought long and hard abought elevator belcrank with the wire crimped around. Finally decided to go this way but beefed up the wire about three times thicker 100lb breaking strain.I really would rather have had a pushrod to bellcrank with a dubro type ball link, no metal to metal connection.Any how cnnected up wire, mounted both stabilizers and drilled for torque tube and hinges. For elevators i used robart pin hinges.Anyone else going a thread?

A note worth mentioning I test flew mine about 4 weeks ago with the CG set at 115mm (as per the manual) I found this too reward for my liking. The weather has only just allowed me to fly it again with a more forward CG (105mm). Much more to my liking flies really well.
