I think it has to do with a circular motion. Sand on, Sand off. LOL The wrest will set you free!!!

I'm trying to figure out what we do building that causes Carpel tunnel. Each step is so different there really isn't a repetitive series of anything. How did your doctor pinpoint it to your hobby?

Is there something else you are doing that might be a repetitive exercise of your wrist?

You can do this Barry.... time to walk the walk.

After being in this brace for just two days I am happy to say I'm feeling great relief. I think he may be right with the diagnosis but full of crap about it being building. I'm going to get a different Doctor and get his opinion before my appointment with the Hand Specialist. This was the first time I saw this guy and he didn't seem to bright. I had been going to my Doctor for 20 years and then when we switched insurance companies they said I had to use their Doctors. Thats a bummer after having built up a relationship with your Doctor to up and have to change overnight. Well enough of that I just want some wood.

Servo selection:

Rudder/TW = ?
Elevator = ?
Ailerons = ?
Flaps = ?
Retracts = ?
Throttle = ?
Choke = ?

What would you suggest? Plus would you use a Y-Harness for the ailerons? If not how can I get by with my 7 channel radio?

If you have the servos face the same direction in the wing, you can use standard y harnesses. Why don't you sell the metal mill you will never use and get a decent 9+ channel radio.

On even a simple scale model, (2A, 2E, 2F, T, R, G) you are at 6 tight. Add an optic kill switch and you are done. If you have all of your flight surfaces on Y harness, all of your adjustments to individual surfaces will be mechanical, and mixing to tame flight characteristics will be limited. I'm not saying it can't be done, you can always add matchboxes etc. but with more channels available it is much easier to accomplish. The absolute best situation would be to have every servo on it's own channel. But on big complex scale models... you very well could be running 15-20 servos.

I received the replacements for the broken and missing parts from Jesse today. I have to say I am impressed with his customer service. Now lets get some wood. I've got the glue!

What am I suppose to put glue on? I have to get the wood I ordered from Balsa USA before I can build anything. Do you want me just to glue formers and ribs together? I don't think it would fly. Be patient I am and it will start. I can't make the wood get here any sooner by jumping up and down. We don't have a LHS in my area that is worth squat. He hates airplane people. Drive me over all the wood I need and I'll start. It was ordered when I said I did but the Holidays are slowing everything up. BUSA hasn't even sent me a shipping confirmation yet!

I don't think that BUSA sends shipping confirmations. I usually order far enough in advance that I don't have to worry about it.

Since you have an immediate need, you may want to give them a call, and confirm shipping.

Dude, You can make those rails with a $80.00 drill press from Harbor Freight. And a Dremel cut off wheel. It's not rocket science. Also curious as to how you where able too use the tool for two hours, given the problems with your wrest.

Putz,

Have you ever heard of POWER FEED??? Pretty easy to flip a switch. If it is so easy then why have I sold over 1000 sets in 1 1/2 years. Do the math. It makes money and your drill press and dremel idea is a fine one for one or two sets but it isn't accurate like my mill. Read my ratings and you will see I have a 100% satisfaction rating for them. You do it your way and I'll do it mine. How close a tolerence do you get with your set up. Mine is within one thousands. I have been shipping mine around the world. Plus I have two distributors. Precision Cut Kits and Ziroli Plans. DO YOU!!! Enough crap just wait for the build.

Barry

PS: Let me see a picture of your beautiful rails. Plus my spelling isn't the best and FYI I took care of the problem personally with TEX.

Barry, Do you have a link to where they are sold on the Ziroli site that shows your beautiful rails??? Checked and can't find them. And if you just bought the mill you're selling in this package to make those tolerances. What where you using before?

And at 1,000 at $26.00 per set=$26,000. So where is the extra $9,000.00 you want for your business??? And that does not include the material. Oh and by the way. Where's the profit? And that does not include your labor. Not to mention. The time it would take to break even. Even if what you say you sold, is the truth in 1.5 years.
I also doubt you have sold more than Dynamic Balsa has.

http://www.dbalsa.com/
Can you take a pic of the power feed your machine as I do not see it in the pic of the machine on your thread.

Dude, Go back to school and take a math class.

First it was 10cc and now this.
Won't wait for the build. As it will never happen. To much time and to many excuses.

Barry, Barry

did you not complain this summer RCU charges too much for your ads and eat all your profits. AND business is down...I remember.

Man, is there a pile you will find it....

BTW: If you want to sell a business then you have to list your assets:
Machinery
Inventory
Customer list
Business Plan
Revenue
Forecast

Then you can put a selling price underneath. Otherwise you don't get serious inquiries.

Pete,

Advertising does eat profits but that doesn't mean there isn't any. That was Summer and people are flying not building in a vast part of the world. Plus business has picked up 10 fold. I don't disclose any information until I have an interested party. I buy and sell apartment buildings for a living and only the price of the building is given out until I have an offer or someone interested. Then and only then does my Real Estate Broker present them with the information such as you listed. This ad was only put on line to see if anyone was interested. It is a free country and I should be able to ask what ever I want for it. Why keep harping on it? It hasn't got anything to do with the build.

I am going to start out by building the stab and elevators. I hope my wood gets here soon. I am tired of all the non related posts.

But remember it's just a matter of threshold of pain. I'd like to see you have a baby. I know I couldn't. You indeed are a #10 on a scale of 1 to 10 pain in my A..!!!

She fell and hit her arm on a corner of an shelf which resulted in a broken elbow. She got an SS plate and this was for a year in there - then the second operation to remove the plate. Between was a long fight against the frozen shoulder. Every morning and evening we exercised, the result is she have full movement (only 2% of the cases). She is my little trooper...
When i have a bad day (or I think I have a bad day) or I hurt myself - pah, I think about these pictures and the bad day goes away.

Barry, now you got that Zenny rebuild - now it's time to sell that clunker and get a real engine. The Quadra Q100 would be your best choice - you can fly close to scale 3-blade prop. That motor swings a 26X10 3-blade very easy. Even a 27x10 with some speed and clime sacrifices.

Schuerle porting - rear exhaust - spring starter and over balanced c-shaft - warbirds dream....

BTW 10cc, pain in your rear? Yes you bet - someone has to watch you.
