Okay so I got lucky and the hobby shop happened to have 2 10 ounce tanks for the Trojan.
They fit perfectly except that there is no room for any foam

First, hope everyone had a great Christmas and Santa delivered all the RC goodies you asked for.
The daughter and boyfriend surprised me with the T28 cockpit, unfortunately someone on the thread who shall go unnamed forgot to apprise me of ALL the many pieces that come with it.. LOL
It certainly looks like a great model albeit the number of parts that I will need to waddle my through

Larry,

Thanks for not mentioning my name. Trust me, the time to build the cockpit will be worth it. Just study the parts and their placement prior to building.

Hope every one had a good Christmas.

Boyd.

Guys,
tried going through the instructions yesterday, now will start reading again when I get back from hobby shop to pick up some longer control arms for the flaps and Staples to pick up some poster board to make templates.
Believe it or not they're threatening snow here in the valley, I'm sure the light dusting will have the city paralyzed for a day
Valley ppl are such wimps 🤣🤣🤣
boyd, thanks again for the build pictures they will be a great help.

stay warm my friends and revel in you Christmas presents

Okay guys,
I think I'm back.
I got the tiny circular Dremel saws at Harbor Freight some of the best $$ I ever spent since Dremel seems to no longer makes one.
First thing I did was to open up the firewall for the dual fuel tanks and fill the opening that Dave had for his switches etc.
I want to thank Boyd for the pix of the positions for the cockpit kit, they will be extremely helpful.

Thanks for staying with me on this journey

Be careful with those saw blades. Make sure you have a firm grip. I use them also, but they scare me to death.

Templates

supplied bulkhead

Bulk head wth Chads rivets
Okay guys,
Boyd, I know exactly what you're talking about, was scared as I cut out the firewall to fit the tanks.
Update time
Started cutting templates for the cockpit, found that the rear plastic piece didn't fit or look exactly as what I hoped so I decided to use Chads rivets and then will paint it flat black as called for.
Here are some pix, will do some more today.
Boyd what did you use to glue the pieces into the plane???

Larry,

I used CA (thin, sometimes thick) glue to glue the pieces together.

I've noticed that with Chads rivets you use white glue. Why do you do that?

Boyd.

Hey Brother, waiting for you to answer Boyd's question on using glue over Chad's rivets. Would like to know why and if I should do the same thing. Chic

Hey guys,
If you use Chads rivets as is they become more or less flush rivets, by adding a drop of glue on top they become raised round ones.
I spent an hour downloading pix from Dynamic Balsa website yesterday so I can try and figure out some of the pieces that attach to the turtle deck
Hopefully will post some more pix today
GO CHEIFS

Update time,
Just so you guys don't think I'm slackin (even though I am) here's an update
Since I purchased the T28 instruments from IFlyTallies I need to make my own inst panel out of 1/32 lit ply.
The vacuum formed one needs to have the back of the instrument locations cut off, way too much of a PITA

Hey Larry, I can laser cut a new instrument panel for you to fit the IFlyTailies instruments. Just need to know the details on the size of the instruments and whatnot so I can draw it up in CAD. I like to make mine from thin G10 but I have several different materials that might be suitable depending upon what you need. Let me know if I can help.
