Default Platt 65" FW-190D-9 info request

A couple weeks ago I bought a used Platt FW-190D-9 here on RCU. In the process of setting it up on my radio and I have no specs for the control throws. I have a copy of the original build article in RCM 7/75 and the plan in the RCM Plans guide and neither have this information! Anyone able to help me out here? I was thinking about using the throws for the TF D-9 if I had to, but figured I'd see if anyone has the Platt specs.

Thanks!!

I use 12degrees from neutral up & down for ailerons, 15degrees up from neutral up and down for Elevator. Focke wulfs are very quick on ailerons so you want to carry 30 % expo. for the first flight then decide where to go after you've flown it.

Paladin,

Thanks, I'll go with your throws. The FW looks great, mine isn't as pretty, but I'll give it a face lift over the winter. Thinking a Defense of the Reich scheme with a little color for better visibility.

Hi Hemikiller

how about a Russian front machine with yellow tail band and yellow flashes on the port upper wing? That should be nice and visible and being assymetric will aid orientation....

Just a suggestion (that's what I will prob do with my Pica version)

cheers
Rick

Rick , I picked one up new in box about a year ago , if you need parts (plastic ect ) there are many sellers on Ebay that make them new , you just have to search under the Pica Fw190 D

Son of a gun! Am I glad you wrote in. I am building one from plans and had not noticed the lack of info on control surface deflections.

Paladin, thanks for the info.

And for a really unusual color scheme, how about US AAF? I saw pictures of a captured FW 190 with stars and bars-different.

FYI - FW-190 fans..the owner of the worlds only (soon to be) original flying FW-190 will be on Warbird Radio tomorrow. He'll be taking your calls and questions live tomorrow morning at 10am (EASTERN). Mark is more than willing to share with modelers about the project...the history...whatever you want. Hope to hear from you.
